  • Fahrenheit 9/11: THE TRAILER

Here's the trailer for Moore's next blockbuster.

It looks pretty good...but then, that's what trailers are intended to do: make things look good.

2 thumbs up by Ebert and Roeper

Although they also mentioned they agreed with the politics as well. But they say they would give 2 thumbs up to a pro-bush film that was made just as well.

damn... the stupid Quicktime/iTunes won't install on my computer. It stops before InstallShield opens up and says, "Unable to start InstallShield"

Any chance you have a downloadable verion of that in another video format?

          Thanks EmpFab...

Wow... this is going to be a great movie.

Hey, does anyone know the song playing near the end of the movie? It sounded like something from the Vietnam era. But I don't know classic rock for ****. Does anyone recognize it?

Isn't it Fortunate Son by CCR?

(edit) It would make sense, but hearing it again I can see that its not.

What I found most entertaining on the trailer was Bush's own remarks.

While speaking at a Republican fundraiser, obviously one of those $10,000 a plate dinners, Bush says, "Some people call you the rich, some people call you the elite... I call you 'my base'."

It is definitely no secret who Mr. Bush represents... and it ain't you or me. We're both too poor for that.

Oh wait, but Michael Moore is a liar, so that wasn't Bush. It was a cleverly put together CG representation of Bush. Or better yet, it was a body double.

Wow... I'm listening to the words of these songs, and they definitely ring true with my political beliefs. I think I might start to enjoy this music more. And there's so much I haven't been exposed to.

Of course the fact that he was making a joke was lost on you... hmmm? IIRC, even the trailer showed the people there laughing.

jokes are sometimes truths put in a different light, which can make them funny.
