Shadows are clearly less advanced than the Vorlon -- as evidenced by the the apparent Vorlon supporiority of Vorlon ships over shadowvessels in the one real engagement shown in the series, and by the amount of effort required to kill an individual Vorlon (Kosh, both times), as opposed to killing an individual Shadow (the final confrontation between Mr. Morden and Londo).
I agree with you that Vorlon ships are superior on a one on one to Shadow ships-hopw is that relevant to a comparison with species 8472.If you don't like reality, change it! me

i also think the vorlon ships just look so much damn cooler than the shadow ships, but as far as the two opposing philosophies, i dunno which i like more.B♭3Comment

I think the shadow ships look much cooler myself, with the pitch black and the "spider" look, though Vorlon ships are nice, but they all look like squids... still like both better than ungly Earthforce or Mimbari ships, though I like Centauri and Narn ships.If you don't like reality, change it! me
