Fez's "article" is from the American Forces Press Service. Hardly an unbaised source.

Azazel, are you implying Spain is the same as Israel?

            a) You mean "didn't happen that way", right?
            b) He didn't provide a link.
            c) Even that article doesn't say that the crowd was armed, but that the gunmen were hiding inside the crowd. If that would mean that it's ok to open fire on the crowd because of that, casualties in some other conflict not too far away would be in the tens of the thousands.

In some sense, we're...... Although I'm going to be bashed by other spaniards for saying so, I've always wondered why can't be more friends if we both have been suferring terrorism since many years ago.

Az, I don't understand it. I've been always a Israel supporter...

To my knowledge Spain is not currently colonizing any territory.

Oh, no, hardly so, my dear boy. If we'd be talking about Israel, you'd see not only UN resolutions, Kofi Annan's talking head on TV, and/or an american press peon, but probably major international pressure, some economic pressure, etc. It's obviously quite clear that I am not saying that Spain is the same as Israel.

I guess French newspaper Le Monde was wrong when their 9-11 headline ran "We're all Americans now". It should have read "We are all Israelis now".

It's not to you that I am making the point to. I know you realize the situation. I am just pointing it out.

Really? how about the colonies of Ceuta and Melilla? They even have an "Apartheid" wall. Haven't heard about that alot, lately, though.

According to this site Ceuta and Melilla are autonomous entities.

So if the Israeli settlements would declare themselves independent, they would be legitimate?

I have no idea. Anyway, I wonder why the Spanish Governmnet did not see this one coming. They are knee deep in it now. That is for sure.

I wonder how the fact that more terror attacks in Madrid were planned, despite the new PM's pledge to get out of Iraq, would affect the public opinion.
