They didn't have modern Russian equipment, but even almost 50 years old Soviet SAM S-75 shot down your super-puper F-117 in Serbia. If Serbs had a dozen of S-300 you would never atack them.
Iraq had ****loads of western equipment as well, so what? Not to mention that weapons that SU sold to them were in "export" modification and weren't equal to their soviet counterparts even when they were sold. In other words soviets sold to them cheaper but inferior modifications of their equipment. After ten years without proper maintenance this equipment became complete crap.
