Bahh! They've been promising commercial fusion reactors since the 1960s. Are there really some promising new ideas, or is this a money trap?

Fusion reactors shouldn't have the safety problems that fision reactors do. There is no radioactive fuel to poison the atmosphere with. The amount of fuseable material in the reactor at any one moment would be very small, too small to produce a big explosion. Also there really wouldn't be anything for terrorists to steal unless they had some way to cart off the whole thing.

we could let you have it, if you joined core Europe: using the above arguement would be difficult with a common defence policy

This reactor would be a huge terrorist target. France is a western country and has a large Muslim population in which terrorists could hide. That is motive and opportunity.

In Japan the only concern is Earthquakes but those are of no concern if you build upon bedrock.

Well, as a matter a fact we might be joining the core. So, gives us the reactor or all your bases are belong to us!

Oerdin, true, but we don't even have the earthquake problem. Nada. It's perfect to build here. Perfect I say.

Yeah, you just have bad weather and the core language for "Elvish" in LOTR.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Did Jackson really use Finnish as the Elvish language in LotR?

Hell, Tolkien did. He created it, syntax and all.

Oerdin, yeah. Well he got influenced by it, that's all. I think it was the use of vowels he liked. Something like that. It's not exactly the same naturally.

Lonestar, not bad weather for reactor. I think we are ideal in every sense.

                                Yeah, build it near CERN.
You have something that makes tons of power and something that needs tons of power... put 'em together.
