Florida will probably flip. No butterfly ballot, insignificant Greens, the 50,000 illlegally removed voters will be eligable this time around,* new voting machines, Kate Harris might run for the Senate, etc. Most of the numerous factors that went in to tilting this state for Bush last time won't be in play.

*(Florida has agreed to a consent decree that requires these voters be re-instated, but Jeb has defied the Courts before, so this may still be a factor next year.)

True. But he isn't running this time, and last time he was a stuffed shirt. I didn't vote for Gore in 2000, and I wouldn't vote for 2000 Gore in 2004. Would I vote for the new Gore in 2004? Maybe.

You really think Bush would take New England? New York? New Jersey? The West Coast?

Yes... I'm looking back at 1988 (look below)....

Anyone who doubts that 2004 is going to be a close election is fooling themselves.

The same thing was said in early '88. In fact most predicted Bush would lose (he was down in the polls). But incumbancy was a big boost.

Bush's political advisors are just as good (if not better) than his father's. That and the economy looks like it'll rebound greatly early next year.

The more the Dems love and adore their candidate, sweeter the Republican victory.

Actually, I agree with Lieberman on most issues. He actually could give George Bush a good run for his money. But, anyone can see that the Democrats are not going to nominate Joe Lieberman.

I thought was funny that Howard Dean said today that one of his top priorities as a president would be to combat terrorism and to combat the spread of weapons of mass instruction.

            Really?

How can anyone believe this guy.

I remember when some CNN reporters were talking about how the Democrats criticized Bush for not capturing Saddam NOR Osama.

Guy, have the Democrats made common cause with self-declared COMMUNISTS?

Fun, Cheney is working on Bush to be more gay-friendly.

But Bush knows just a little more about foreign policy now. I bet he could even name the ex leader of Iraq!

Lord knows, you sure taught Jeb a thing or two.

Unfortunately, the current candidates who are closer to the center couldn't energize a 14-year-old boy if they had a copy of Hustler in one hand and a next-generation PlayStation in the other.

EDIT: Oh wait, I think I got it. Have I (the Democrats) made common cause with Che (self-declared Communists)?

You think I'm a Democrat? Jeez, I have a little more self-respect than that, thank you very much!

DLC types were testing out their first-ever candidate, Al Gore.
Whatchyou talkin about, Willis? Al Gore was never a DLC type candidate.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Madeleine Albright yesterday said while in the Fox News green room preparing to discuss the capture of Saddam Hussein that Bush had Osama bin Laden and was waiting for next year's campaign to reveal his capture.

McDermott, the Democrat senator from Washington said that Bush had long ago captured Saddam in only now had revealed his capture for political purposes.

Does this say something about Bush or does it say something about the Democrats?
