Also to add to my 'philestine' collection, the majority of classical musicIt's just so boring, overindulgent and w@nky. I remember being dragged along to classical recitals when I was at Oxford, and I must say they were good. The best evening's sleep I ever got

There is the odd classic, but for the most part they lack any aesthetic appeal...it is probably the most esoteric of all the musical genres...

Do singers count? Because if they do, I'd like to nominate Billie Holiday, the most depressing singer of all time. Thirty seconds of listening to Holiday can turn the happiest occasion into a rainy Sunday afternoon when you're broke and your car isn't running.
