I guess these extreme atheists want to find every way possible to attack religious people.
They stoop so low as to attack improvised memorials created by families and friends of those who have died.
For those atheists who are part of this stupidity -- fvck off.

I doubt that very seriously.
At no time, while being serious, have I lumped a group of anyone together.
Except damned Mexicans. And Yankees. And Canadians. And..

I suggest you reread your source. He was not immediately banned, he was offered the choice to go to counselling and to remain in the school.
By "counselling" they mean some form of brainwashing where they can attempt to convince him he's straight rather than gay. That's not a choice.
Would you go to "counselling" telling you God wants you to take it up the ass, or would you decline that "option"?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Do you really want to know what I would do in his situation?
If I went to a Catholic school, and found some of their teachings to be against what I believe, the first thing I would do is to make sure that the teachers teach what they ought to be teaching.
Secondly, if it is not the teacher, than I leave.
Do I sue the school for not 'accepting' me? No.
This is called taking personal responsibility for your decisions. He chose to approach the Catholic school, and did not like the consequences of his choice, so he is going to sue.
It's the same with any church, everyone has to repent, no one's sin gets treated any differently. If you don't like it, than leave.

*cough* that school isn't Catholic *cough*
Forty-year-old Jupiter Christian School is a conservative, Bible-based school that is not affiliated with any church. About 630 students attend grades K-12; high-schoolers pay $6,575 a year to attend."I'm moving to the Left" - Lancer

I need to make sure I miss that episode... But I did like the one where the little girl was dying and then she was "touched by an atheist." He read something from Darwin and then the little girl rolled her eyes and died. (It was quite moving). May she rot in peace...

I said that to remain consistent with their religious teachings they ought to offer counselling to anyone who is gay.
1) sexual orientation cannot be changed -- it can only be repressed/denied
2) non-heterosexual orientations are not inherently unhealthy as to require the so-called "counseling" I thought you were implying
But back to those unconstitutional teddy bears, cards, and flowers.

"Our position basically is that we're against it (the memorials)," David Condo, Maryland state director for American Atheists, told CNSNews.com. "We don't think it makes sense from a driver's safety perspective, for one. If you're looking at a memorial or any other thing that's been put on the road, then you're certainly not looking at the road. If it's religious in nature it could also be offensive to anyone who just wants to use the road. So it doesn't make sense from a couple of perspectives."
