Punctuation in the penultimate sentence is very awkward, imo. Better to start new sentence after 'India and Pakistan', as having all those commas after the colon is a little confusing and just sounds wrong.

That's always the hardest part, writing a concise introduction to effectively present your thesis.

Personally, introductions have never presented much of a problem. It's the actual essay I tend to have difficulty with...run out of steam after the first few paragraphs (precisely what is happening at the minute )Desperados of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your dignity.......

This is not a problem when you aren't required to cite sources.
