The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

Back on topic please.. Yes, I feel kind of responsible.
And Imran, I'm not a real cher fan, but she does have some talent and usually puts on a great show.
But the backstreet boys really do suck. (don't let my daughter see this, aw, heck she's not 10 anymore so she probably thinks they suck too)

I used to read latin when I was 11. Back then it was a requirement for alter boys. AND no, I was never diddled. (travelling in twos must have been the key)
But no greek, so I'm out.

I'm only half a classicist, but I pity them. I mean, you spend most of your undergraduate degree learning declensions and conjugations by rote and it's at least two years before you can actually make a reasonable attempt at reading an ancient text and at least grad level before you are anything like competent.
There is nothing in the sciences or the rest of the humanities that equates the unrelenting coolie labour of Classics. No wonder they all look pale.
Congratulations on avoiding the diddling BTW - although we all know that that's a minority pursuit amongst the clergy.
I have a somewhat similar experience, and I wholeheartedly endorse your thought that having both a technical and non-technical background greatly helps.
I used to be a Physics major for two years, left my program and became a History major, with a minor in English. I've taken quite a mixture of courses when you look at my degree, history, english, philosophy, geography not to mention the standard sciences in first and second year.
What I find is that I can talk to people who have no experience with technical fields as well as prying out the most pertinent information from a technical lecture. I can also write in a variety of forms, depending on what's desired, anything from poetry, (don't laugh) to a scientific report.
If I were to go back and take more courses, I would take some more statistics and economics.

Latin is easy By the end of my first year of Latin in High School we were reading more than most two or three year Spanish students. By the third year we were translating pages nightly. Fourth year students had to translate the Odyssey. There's no reason lazy college students shouldn't do as well
If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.
