I like Tucker Carlson. He's the only person on the current iteration of "Crossfire" who isn't a complete maniac. It's really too bad that he's starting to stoop to their level; he was so damn charming when he was paired with the incomparable Bill Press.

      back on topic...

Can't really add to what's been said...other than agreeing that carlson effed up but FAUX news really blew it. There are degrees of separation...kind o' the difference between manslaughter and pre-mediated murder.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Maybe it is because I dont watch enough cable news, but I have never seen anything outrageously conservative on Fox News, just stupid stuff about celebrities and ... well ... news. That flagwaving is a little obnoxious though.

The delay is there in order to protect people like Carlson from acting like such numbnuts.
Well if you believe what's on the Fox website, CNN already knew about the prank beforehand.

Ahem... I think that's the point for giving out Carlson's number... So he can get bombarded by Telemarketers and see how it feels!
He probably already knows what it's like to get unwanted calls, that's why he has an unlisted number.

When the guy announced it on air, ok, stupid thing to do, but not malicious
I'd call it malicious, it's no coincidence he gave the number to a competitor. He must have been thinking: I'll screw them when he could have just refused to answer the question or explained that he has an unlisted number to deter unwanted calls.

Btw, who here has a publicly listed phone # and how many calls per week do you get from telemarketers?

Just a bunch of *****-waving back and forth between Carlson and FOX, nothing more.

I'm kinda surprised at Carlson... never cared much for his politics, but he seemed like a classy guy.

I'm not in the least bit surprised at FOX, however. "Classy" is not a word I like to use within two paragraphs of mentioning the FOX News Channel.

Lawsuits are your solution to EVERYTHING

Besides, think it through. Fox sues Carlson, Carlson fires a counter complaint, on the more salient grounds that his home life was messed up because of Fox's irresponsibility (there has to be a law somewhere). End result is that Fox is forced to pay a settlement or face a charge that they aggrevated harassament of Carlson. It's best if both parties don't bring it to the court, but Carlson will still be marginally better off even if Fox is that immature.

And Tucker Carlson is not a righty. His bowtie is obnoxious and he is a terrorist who should be shot. Anyone who attacks Fox News, especially physically, is a traitor and a spy on both a national and personal level. He is lucky Fox showed restraint and just played fair. They could've gone above and beyond the call of duty and absolutely ruined that loser's life. Cry and moan about the wife's emotional trauma over the telephone calls all you want. I'm sure she'll never be the same.

CNN would fire Carlson if he were not a liberal terrorist spy communist like their whole stupid organization. Wimps...

Wiglaf has been around a long time -- if he's a DL, nobody's been able to prove it.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
