Thank you, Cruddy. Now have yourself a cookie.

That's actually a debatable topic with the split of the church who gets to call themselves the 'true' church.

I don't know much about the Orthodox, what are their arguments compared to the Catholics?

          What about this?

Since the time, Jesus preached his teachings,
the churches underwent a lot of changes.

From small groups of Believers, who made no distinction between Lays and Preachers to more rigid structures with established Hierarchies and own Budgets (which were originally administrated by the Bishops [only later Bishops became high Ranking peachers, originally they were just some kind of Accountants {and what later became the pope was originally the accountant of Rome }]).

So, as it wasn´t Jesus himself who oversaw these changes, especially not the Development of hierarchical Structures, I think, that there is not one christian church which can be considered the "true" church.

Like I said a few posts up, the church began in the East. The West only developed the traditions of "catholicism" around the Dark Ages. Relative newcomers compared to us, if we're talking about who's the oldest and nothing else.

                  Possible answers

                  1. conservative Judaism, of course, with a Rosenzweigian approach to theology, a post Kaplanite approach to Jewish identity, and a moderate halachic approach

                  2. The only true synagogues are the ones that give out a bissle schnapps at Kiddush.

                  3. One true = what the? Since we dont generally proselytize, aint it clear that we thing there are many ways to truth. Now whether there is ONLY ONE way or not if you happen to be a Jew is another question, but if youre a born gentile without the urge to convert to Judaism, there are many possible ways for you.

                  4. The only true church/synagogue is the one im going to for Rosh hashanah services tonight, but only if I get a decent seat, and if the Rabbi doesnt throw in too many remarks about the cubbies (hes from Chitown and a big baseball fan - AFAIK he still hasn't retracted the sermon he gave comparing Sammy Sosa to Rabbi Akiva)

Why G-d Never Received Tenure at Any University
He had only one major publication.
It was in Hebrew; had no references; wasn't published in an academic journal; and some doubt he wrote it himself.
He may have created the world, but what has he done since?
The scientific community cannot replicate his results.
He never received permission from the ethics board to use human subjects.
When one experiment went awry, he tried to cover it up by drowning the subjects.
He rarely came to class; telling the students to, "Read the book."
Some say he had his son teach the class.
He expelled his first two students.
His office hours were irregular and sometimes held on a mountain top.
Although there were only ten requirements, most students failed.

You mean there are synagogues, which give Alcohol for free at certain times?
Must I be a jew to get it or do they give it also to people of other confessions?

I don't think that God is part of creation. Well, part of human creation, maybe.
