OU (12-2) lost to Oklahoma State (7-5), who lost to Louisiana Tech (4-8).
That obviously means that the best team in the Big XII last year was no better than 4-8 Louisiana Tech (who was in the WAC).

Yeah... WOW.. the Top 10 looks radically different this week. USC (3) and Iowa (9) both go down. USC stays in the Top 10, but Iowa definetly falls way out.
Florida State returns into the top 5, meaning that in two weeks (FSU is off next week and Miami plays some patsy, I bet) is going to be between two Top 5 teams again.

I'll take them over anyone today. Even over Oregon in Oregon again.
And THIS is the exact reason why we need a playoff. Some fluke loss can deprive a team of their chance, though I bet OU will lose to Oklahoma State and Miami to VTech, and FSU to Miami, while VTech loses to Pittsburgh or something, and Michigan ends up in the big game.

Why? Because some team you thought was great turned out to be only good? They should get another shot based on your subjective opinion as to their quality? Screw that. They lost their shot at the title on the field and that's the way it should be. Every game counts, even the "flukes."
