I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
MY neighbor across the street has a 17 year old daughter whose a cheerleader. Last night I was sitting outside (around 6-7pm, about the time I was trying to figure out what to have for dinner) and two cars pull up driven by teenage boys. From the passenger seat two teenage girls emerge (one from each car). The run up to the door and meet the daughter there who hands them some sweat pants witht heir high schools name on them... I guess it was for cheer, or something, I saw pom-poms in the cars... But, the two blonde hotties that got of the cars changed from their shorts into the sweats right in the driveway!!! They didn't bother to cover up, and didn't even see me though I was standing right across the street!!!

Looks like one of those spray nozzles on the end of a garden hose.

Flags with the country map on it are a bad idea, unless you have a cool shaped country. Also, light blue on white?

Actually, it's pretty damned sad and infuriating. Most cults you at least have a choice about joining, or they don't have such tight control over their members that escape isn't nearly impossible.
These people have such an incredibly distorted view of the world and of history, it's amazing. And you can bet that for the ones like these cheerleaders who are sent out, there has to be a huge amount of preplanning done by their handlers to condition them to the visible differences in standard of living between the DPRK and the outside world.
