Come on. I don't even compete.. I just train. So I'm harmless! There are three sides to me. One is the martial arts loving guy, then the programming loving guy who drinks too much coke, and then the guy who wants to go streaking everywhere, anywhere. I'm still trying to improve in the streaking, since I haven't done that much, and definitely not properly.
I just wanted to do this thread, so that everyone can see I got my butt handed to me good, since there have been quite a few kicking the butt threads. It was my time to get my bell ringed.

Summation: This has never happened until now, but it was only because I was being sloppy. It had nothing to do with the fact that my sparring partner IS A BETTER FIGHTER THAN ME

Shoulda gone with your intuition on that one - if you're bigger and/or taller, go for submission moves. Especially if your opponent is faster and/or a Thai kickboxer.

Some styles are not meant to be in opposition - for example, Mike Tyson vs. The Rock is NOT a good idea.

Zylka, those are the reasons I find I made mistakes.
Now, I already said he is a better stand up fighter than me, and that I was better in the ground. He knocked me out standing, where he is better. I do not recognize him as a better fighter .

edit: though he was better today.

But then again I don't say I'm better. We are at our best in different things. He was able to capitalize today. I might be lucky the next time. I almost had him earlier with the choke, but he got away. I'd say we're about the same level. It can go any way.. but it was his day today.

And especially when we're talking about the fight game. Facts are vague. If he wins me the next time, if we ever go at it, then I'm ready to say he's better all round fighter than me. Not until then.
