BTW - youre incorrect about the invasion of Yugo - that was a joint german-italian operation, with hungary and bulgaria in as well. Perhaps youre thinking of the invasion of Albania???

          from the holocaust learning center

"Thousands of Jews fled to the southeast corner of France after the Italian army occupied territory east of the Rhone River in late 1942. The Italian authorities refused to hand over Jews to the Germans, despite repeated demands. While many Jews in the Italian zone were rounded up by the Germans after September 1943, thousands managed to hide or to escape to Switzerland. "

6 millions, lord of the mark, that's the claimed figure. and if it was 1 million, had they shown proper resistance Hitler would have thought twice if it was worth the effort...

No. Hitler continued exterminating Jews even at the very end, when extermination took precious military resources (i.e transportation, troops and money) which would have been much better used on the battlefield.

Hitler believed in what he did, that's why this whole waste happened.

The Italians might have been more morally upright, but the discussion is who would win in a fight, and no one can say (if one assumes for some reason that perfomances in WW2 somehow can tell us what the current outcome would be) that the Italians would even slow the Germans down.

Half of the European press including the most serious sources call him that way often, except of course his own media....but maybe that is all part of the evil conspiracy against poor Silvio, as mentioned by him while he appeared at the court in Italy before his little immunity law saved him from such unamusing things....

Also, except of course in his own media, his latest "joke" got a negative echo, not only in left newspapers....

I would say that the Lybians and Ethiopians whom the Italians gassed in the 20's and 30's would think higly of the morality of Italian soldiers.

they fought whereever they could. Where there were young people who managed to get some weapons and some military training. They were not prepared to resist genocide. Perhaps because no one thought that sort of thing could happen anymore in civilized europe.
