Agreed, Most indepandant thinkers (Ie people who are not influenced by the govt propaganda via the Media) seem to think simular things to Bods. He has been discredited by hordes of 'poly lefties trying to make him out to be much worse than he is.

Look at common-law relationships. Many times it is the woman who suffers because she has less legal recourse in the event that the relationship dissolves.

I agree, divorce should be available for a woman with an abusive husband, but nowadays has been used far to often for frivolous reasons.

Such is the nature of relationships...they can be cruel emotionally...but this is certainly no justification to tie one person to another person for the rest of their lives just because they are married. If you look beyond it all, love is a silly notion. It is possible for a woman to make her own way in this world now, we are not in the 19th century...kids bring up an interesting issue of maintenance from the father...but how should this be any different to how it is now?

What do you define as 'frivolous'? Maybe in your perfect world frivoulous may include a breakdown of communications or just simply falling out of love. It happens, as I said, love is cruel like that but it is a fact of life. Certainly binding two people together with no means of reneging the contract would be the most stupid thing. Marriage should not be inflexible...in fact this is why I disagree with the whole concept.

Marriage improves the relationship in many cases because it represents a legal commitment to love your wife to the exclusion of all others, until death do you part. Many times the woman will push for the marriage because she is much more secure inside a marriage than out.

So what? It takes two to tango...as I say, equality should be the name of the game now now the 'to serve and to honour' crap that was the traditional form of marriage where the woman was subservient to the male and she needed his protection. It is about time those days were ended, along with the institution of legal marriage that has been used for too long to accomplish this...

It is perhaps a locational thing , remember Bodd's comes from North West UK, an Area where White,Straight Males are blatently discriminated against, and as a result the BNP have a lot of support.
