Did I do a poor job of explaining this on the other thread? Your last post made it seem like we had come to some sort of agreement. Trust me, obiwan, the Church teaches that Christ did die for our sins and conquer death, and that salvation comes from Christ, and it is our loving acceptance of him that saves Christians. Where the Church differ from one such as Chick is it's belief that by certain actions one can choose to reject God. If there is a Catholic who thinks they can reach heaven based on their own merit alone they should be advised to study their own church's teaching more carefully.
Jack Chick's seeming ideas on salvation seem horribly unbiblical, representative of misinterperting a few passages from the bible and a disregarding of other passages of the bible.
