Yeah and in 67 about 150,000 new ones were made.
source?
I read about claims regarding 15,000 people. Never 150K.
You mean of the land that was theirs?
correction: which they lived on. them living on the land doesn't necessarily make it their property. It could have belonged to rich feudals, or to the state authorities (turks / brittish).
If Israel refuses to allow the Right of Return, then it should be expelled from the UN. It's joining the UN was conditional upon allowing Palestinian refugees to return home. Israel agreed and then renegged.
it was said about refugees who wish to return and live peacefully.
and they were talking about some 650K people at the time.
Not 4 million.
As for the Jewish refugees of arab countries, most of them left as an informed choice with the ability to sell of their property.
Source?
Do you consider a result of persecution "an informed choise?".
True not everyone had been kicked out or robbed. Some were just denied work and civil rights. Some were threatened.
There were no massive property confiscations as in Israel, so it really is a ridiculous strawman.
Reverse strawmen.
In Israel, there were massive property confiscations after the refugees had left.
In arab countries, it were property confiscations that drove jews away.
Sure they can pay reparations, it isn't that much and yet it has no bearing on the Palestinian rights. There is no arguement to link the 2 in negotiations.
