    Let me ask this:

Why are you pro-war people so sure Shrub wasn't responsible for 9/11?

How do you know OBL isn't some puppet, and Shrub is pulling the strings?

No, I don't think Shrub was responsible, but there was that possibility.

After 9/11 the majority was against war in Iraq just like it was when Clinton tried to broach the subject a few years before. The only difference is that Clinton listened to the majority and Bush actively campaigned to change the majority opinion by trying to create a false connection between terrorism and Saddam and using intelligence reports of WMD that must have been greatly exaggerated or all that intelligence would have turned up something by now. So yes, he did listen.

Your 70 something percent figure is a little ridiculous, its based on the massive upsurge in support for the war after it had already begun and many people thought there is no use in being against a fait accompli, besides it would have been unpatriotic. Leading up to the war the anti-war crowd was much more substantial.

by the way the lowest support for the war percentage I have seen was 46%. This was the percentage that supported war without a UN resolution. The figure was in the 60's with UN support. The people against the war was far below 46% (because the rest were undecided)

You anti-war folks are in big denial. I haven't seen such major denial even in myself when confronted with several personal issues.

Gsmoove, that is inaccurate. From what I read within days of the war, perhaps a week, the numbers turned completely against the peacenik crowd. So your inaccuracy is stunning.

Do you think we liberals are going to listen to your fascist crap. It is you that is in denial. Quit being a Fez Despenser, Fezzie. Quit watching FOX. Give us evidense to refute the numbers doesn't come from a conservative-biased medium like the Wall Street Journal or Rush Limbaugh.

So one positive side effect from this war has been the comedy value of watching much of the left go bonkers.

They are pretty hilarious, aren't they? Reminds me of some of my favorite episodes of "Life Goes On".

                          • Remember, 49.9 percent of Americans voted for bush, so of course they'd be for the war......
Gee, where does that put me Tassadar?

I would have voted for Bush, and opposed the war.

How many more share my concerns?

You now have to acknowledge that some who voted Democrat supported the war.

Well if it were up to lefties, we couldn't find humour in anything. They are trying to take away everything we find funny.

Humour helps people make it through difficult situations in case you don't know that. But being a lefty, you probably don't know that.
