  • Also having apolyton probs

Is Apolyton 2.0 done already?????? If so, AWESOME (I want it)

    ==============================
On the note of Apolyton 1.2, I too have never gotten it to work. I remember a post on another thread where someone kept getting a "wondermovie" error when they tried to load the ap1.2 game. I am now getting this error too.

The game works fine when I modswap to the normal game, but AP1.2 gives me this wondermovie error.

I noticed when I installed ap1.2 that it over-wrote certain ap1.1 files - - this is OK, right? (This also happens with cradlemod).

Could someone point me to the thread which discusses these issues? I tried a forum search for "wondermovie" but got no useful returns.

(related to this... i need help on cradlemod... when I disband a city, I get this "capital city / noname city" error.. any useful threads on this?)

    thanks

Here are the resluts of the germany jury ...

      There are three victorys:
Diplomatic (click next turn), Bloodlust(move army in last town) and Science (click next turn). I tried to play on science, but unmodded ctp2 it´s to easy, so that I rule the world early.

Next time with the apolyton pack?

      Nevertheless: I like tihs tournemant!

      • Great to see the savegames finally rolling in I was afraid there would only be 5-6 participants

Still, I haven't seen people like IW, hex, Wes, CoT, Big Mc, Hermann, Gaz, Pedrunn, etc yet... (*hint* *hint*)

        Jesper,
You can only submit one (1) official victory. The other victories you submitted will be included in the unofficial rankings but not in the official ones. Which victory do you want to be your official result?

        • Jesper,
After having reviewed your savegames and reread your post, I'm concluding your 'official' submission is probably the Science Victory. If you think otherwise, let me know...

          All,
The rankings so far (tournament ends in 3 days - it's not too late to join in but the clock is ticking...). Entries with a number in brackets behind the name are unofficial, the rest of the ranking is official. The names in bold are the winners per victory type.

FYI: next tournament will be played with Apolyton Pack v2.0. So if you plan to participate, you might want to install that if you haven't already. I'll have detailed instructions and a game up later this week.

My goal is an early science victory.
Thanks for your good "tournament idea"!

                • How come some of the other 'leet' modders havent taken part??
Are they too busy tweaking the game?
Or are they afraid of a little competition?
I for one would be very interested to see their different approaches to the game.

                  • IW, you wanna play the whole game in one day Even I needed two sessions and I was done by 1330... Well, good luck anyway, I hope you make it...

                    Maquiladora,
Yeah, it's a pity hex, Wes, et al didn't participate, I would have loved to have seen more familiar faces Nothing wrong with having newbies participate (heck, that's why I started this whole thing), but I think everyone would like to find out how they compare to the people that made this game great...

                    • Or are they afraid of a little competition?
Yes. Very much so I suck.

Well, I played for the majority of this morning, going for an perfectionist policy until I had modern weapons, then take over a few key cities, and build the Gaia Controller etc... However, the evil, vile slimy French took my capital in 1000BC and I spent the best part of 1500 years trying to take it back.

I'll try to finish it tonight, but I'm getting concerned as to whether or not I'll win at all.
btw, Why so few goods on this map? Its very annoying.

                      • Hi guys, well done Locutus, you've got something good going here, see post copy of another one of my posts below for some gernal info, i.e. I'm a little rusty but used to be quite a good player.

                        Can you let me know:

                        a) Can I join the tournement / when does it start and stop or when is the next one due?

                        b) What mods files do I need, I think my 6 month old version is still the un-modded 1.11 patch.

Hope to hear from you soon and would also welcome replies from other players if you wanna chat / give me some info etc.

                        ---------------------------------------

I just posted in the Official Apolyton CTP2 MP registry, here's a copy as it contains som einteresting info:

(Oerdin, Athen, Undertaker, Napolean, Ranger, Gregoryman, Cloud, Smeagol, Unimatrix Zero, Aragon, Doertenman, Mr.X, AdolHitler, Victorious, Gbaji, Killen, Urchant, Valnir, Alex, Chrisdeburgh, Ama, Lord Goliath, Bibber, Enforcer, Tongas, PillaVilla, DerDoertenman, Trieze, Yoda, Kostas, Yoda, Sir Matthew, Dangerous German, Mariobronx, Zenvir, Elutte, William, Peste, Blazor, Matrix, Altair)

PS. I have most of the above players emails/ICQ's although they are 6 months old if anyone's interested.

Wow that was blast from the past !!! - well I havn't played for about 6 months so am quite rusty but judging by the Civ 3 fiasco I am coming back.

If anyone wants a game please let me know, I am unaually available Sun - Thur 7pm - 2am GMT, Fri 7pm till whenever."

Thanks and Welcome! Good to have you here

                          a) Can I join the tournement / when does it start and stop or when is the next one due?
Of course you can join. You still have about 15 minutes until the current tournament ends so you'll just have play really quickly
The next tournament will start before the end of the weekend.

                          b) What mods files do I need, I think my 6 month old version is still the un-modded 1.11 patch.
For the current tournament you don't need anything else. For the next one you'll need ModSwapper (see the Tournaments webpage) and Apolyton Pack 2.0. I'll post more detailed info on the Pack when the second tournament starts, but if you don't want to wait and want to get more info/download it now, you should check out the Creation forum. One of the topped threads there provides links to all major mods, including Apolyton Pack.
