  • 6 hours more, and I'm done. Thanks to the hugely unbalancing effect of Tank Warfare, I built myself some nice little armies, and conquered 56% of the world. I was going for the Gaia Controller, but ran out of time, so here's my embarrassing cop-out win at 2300AD
Not a huge score either None of my cities grew past size 32, even with mayors set to growth. Most annoying.

    • Congratulations Ben, you just managed to play a game of CTP2 within two days or was it just one day, at least you managed to finished it before Locutus will close it officially.

        • Oh, did I forget to post it? The tournament is closed now, I'm working on the rankings. I'll include Ben's score because not posting that the tournament was closed was my fault, not Ben's, but he was really too late...

                  • Yeah good game
Its very interesting to look at all the different ways people play. Of course theres scope for random events in each persons game, but each player does "something" different so.

                    • Yes, I definitely want to play in the next tournament! All I have left to do is load CtPII, the patch, ModSwapper, and AP ver 2.0 and I'll be set . I am a little rusty though. So when is it going to start? Locutus?!

                      • Locutus is on vacation at the moment, and will be back 19/20th of June. Probably the next tourney won't start until late June, or even early July depending on how things work out.

                        • Dale and I have been trying to set up the second tournament even since before I left but the facilities in cybercafe's in Singapore and KL are too limited to make this process go as speedily as it should. I'm currently awaiting a last mail from Dale and hopefully I can put up the second tourny then... I'm leaving for Bangkok shortly so depending on the facilities there and on Dale's response time it could start tomorrow, it could be in two weeks...

BTW, good to see you again, ETB!!!

                          • Thanks Locutus, it’s good to be back! I really like what you’ve done with the place. I am very impressed with the large membership here – it looks like ACS is doing quite well! What’s up with this exotic Asian tour? Sounds like you’re in the lap of luxury to me!

Personally, I am really not in a great hurry to start the tournament because I am in the middle of reinstalling my OS. I just got Dale’s Super Apolyton Pack (and the patch and Modswapper) so I am hoping to attempt at least one game before the tournament starts. The Super Apolyton Pack sounds like it holds great improvements and I am looking forward to taking it for a ride!

                            • that's cool then. I still think you should leave it til you get back, but you will persist...
Have a good time in Bangkok!

Now the secret is out. You can see that I had expert help in learning this CTP stuff. ETB is my youngest son.
