  • -> If they trade masonry and polytheism, there is no IOU anymore (the deal is even in that case). In the poll we agreed to offer them monotheism (or an equally valid tech) in that case.
Wait, in that exchange agreement we made there was something about an IOU, but I might be missing something.
I'll reprase that as we'll be paying 150b if we manage on time and mention, Monotheism(171b) as an example.

The map - they've been doing quite a good job on improvements - 4 mines, 4 or 5 cottages and roads on mines clearly is something to note.
They must be having 2 workers on the job atm.

EDIT: but the 14 floodplain tiles I counted is just plain crazy.
Unchecked they will be a powerhouse in no time.

EDIT2: That's another reason we must harness the sea and synergise the sea tiles for maximum output.

Yes, that was before they offered polytheism. With polytheism added to the deal, it became even (or as close to even as possible).

Yes they will. Vox also has a good share of floodplains. We, in the north, only have 3 or 4 total (banana + AC). I think it will be very hard to defeat GS on our continent.

With the Vox map and the GS map, we now have a pretty complete overview of the southern hemisphere. It should make our scouting a lot easier.

      • See I told ya they would be able to manage it or at least give it a try

So the deal so far looks like

Poly, Masonry, Archery, Math <-> Alpha, Iron

We should get the exact details hammered out in a chat soon

That is indeed great news you are so forthcoming, centaurians are feeling very thankful.
We finish Alphabet in 4 turns and would like to start work on Monotheism as soon as possible.

If you could finish and trade both Masonry and Polytheism some 6 or 7 turns from now, that would be just excellent, but 8 or 9 turns wouldn't be a disaster either, we just hope we manage in time to grab the religion.

If you research and exchange both of those techs ASAP and due to that we manage to found Judaism, we'd be indebted to you by 150 beakers, which you can later use to balance out a tech deal or purchase a cheaper tech outright, if not, we'll stick with the trade deal we had so far, plus the offered 75 beakers IOU.
We'd also be open to include Monotheism in any future deals, should you ask for it.

          • We have examined the situation and we can accommodate your need for Poly and Masonry ASAP. We will be able to be within your 9 turn timeline, and most likely inside of 7.

I hope we may consider the tech trade a deal then.

PS. Have you heard from Banana regarding the 3 way treaty? We have not.
I wonder why 'accodomate' is emphasized..

            • Let's answer them fast (before they get next turn) the tech trade is a deal, probably with a short overview of what is included exactly. Also, we haven't heard anything from Banana for a long time. Their last message was "expect word soon" on February 2nd. We have sent them 3 messages since then, but never got a reply to any.

                Yes, it's a deal then:

GS transfers Polytheism and Masonry to AC ASAP recieving 75 beaker credit base and additional 75 beaker credit if AC succeeds to found Judaism.

We haven't heard from the Banana for quite a time (a month) either.

                • Ok lets work out the particulars, in 3 turns we can begin the trading. We might need to break it into several rounds of trading. What should the exact exchange times be and what should we research in the 4 turn gap before we can begin Monotheism? I think completing a portion of Literature in preparation for the Great Library would be good, we can finish the remainder afer Mono before beginning the long grind on Machinery, we might also discover that the Bananas haven't got the techs we need and we need to do fishing/sailing ourselves (Time to pester them and ask what they just finished researching)

                  • Okay, but how can we politely ask for Polytheism being transferred before Masonry and not raise their suspicion about us attempting Literature?

The only other option I see, however, is Drama, which aint a bad option either - if we finish it and happen to have a GS, we can pop Philosophy. Similarly, it opens up Music.

                    • sent to GS:

                      Dear GS,

We have finished alphabet and noticed you finished Masonry and Polytheism too. However, Masonry is on your "can't trade" list, probably because you just researched it. Would you be so kind to propose the deal in your turn?

                      Masonry + Polytheism <=> Ironworking

Thanks again for prioritizing your research on these techs.

                        • If they ask for it, we can just tell the truth : we popped it from a goody hut. It's only when our GE is born they might realize we've had it for quite a long time already.

GS is going to be a little bit over the 24 hrs - I'll play it sometime this evening. No problem, actually, I'm just attempting to spur more discussion.

can we ahve it a bit longer also?

GS is going to go over the 24 hour mark for this turn. Sorry about it, but this is an important turn.

Thanks, Krill - I didn't quite get here for the 24 hour mark.

I hope this ain't the end of Vox... We'll have to watch the powergraphs next turn...

They didn't seem like producing lot of mil units in last turns.

Only thing I can think of is that Vox has finished it's settler and a mad run is now going on - a couple of Vox's archers and settler being chased by GS's skirmishers
