An idea for Firaxis would be to allow the Incas to have the special ability to build cities and have irrigation in mountains.

I love the Celts and I believe I will be playing them quite extensively. The Arabs, however, are going to be getting the boot ASAP and I will mod in the Inca instead.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Cya.
Quechua/Quichua, Aymará and Guaranà are the three great native languages in South America, and the ones with the probably best future. Quechua now is cooficial in Perú and Bolivia, also probably in Ecuador in a near future. Aymará is cooficial in Bolivia and Perú. Guaranà is the most spoken language in Paraguay, and is winning positions every day.Signature: Optional signature you may use to appear at bottom of your posts

I think 90% of the korenas are playing Warcraft 3 right now.
Great game BTW.

icon 5: automate and go home??
icon 6: automate and ??? (same icon in middle row)
icon 7: automate and don't change any existing improvement
icon 8: go home??
icon 9: some chat stuff
middle row: nothing new
lower row:
3rd last icon: patrol
last 2 icons: something with regicide? locate enemys king?
any ideas?
When I first saw the screenshots, this portion drew my attention the most. I agree with you that the first two icons represent:
icon 1: build road, then colony
icon 2: build road to
For the rest on the first row, I suggest some changes:
icon 3: automate road building/interconnect cities
icon 4: as the 'home' picture is used for "build city", this probably means auto-irrigate around this city or irrigate to a city you select
icon 5: automate around city you select? (somehow auto-mine doesn't make sense even though that would be the logical extension from the last two - and where's the pick-axe anyway?)
icon 6: identical to icon in middle row - probably a mistake from when Firaxis regrouped it with the other automate buttons but forgot to remove it from the original location.
icon 7: automate w/o replacing existing improvement
icon 8: go to city. I'm assuming a pop-up list appears. (Hopefully with a mini-world map and zoom-in view of selected city. It was so annoying in Civ2 w/o anything like that)
icon 9: not some chat stuff. It just doesn't make sense to include it down with the unit actions. And what do you suppose all of those blurb icons are next to the leader names up top? I'm not really sure what this one could mean...unless...maybe you get to name your units.
middle row: nothing new
lower row:
3rd last icon: probably patrol (hope you get to set the points to cover), though could also mean 'explore'
last 2 icons: Probably to do with escort services. First (plain sword) means 'protect', and then you choose which unit. Second (with arrows heading to it) means 'find cover' and then you choose which gaurdian.
Alright, we seem to have mostly gotten that. Now why hasn't anyone mentioned all those new buttons in the lower right above the info box? Obviously the arrows cycle through menus or something, but I have no idea what.

For fun, Koreans frequent the 26,000 PC baangs - cybercafes - where they socialize and play online games. Just in WWII was Korea freed from Japanese colonial rule, so they shun Nintendo, Sega, and Playstation. Half the country has broadband access and there, online PC gaming rules.
Starcraft is practically a national sport, and in fact three cable stations televise tournements with added music and commentators' analysis and broadcast online gaming 24 hours a day.
Perhaps this is a preview of where the rest of the world is heading...

Oh well. It seems Oceania must wait until another possible XP - Civ has room for more. I can always mod away...
It seems none of the new civs have ind/mod age units which is a bit disappointing. I like the additions, but the lower ages seem a bit congested while the upper ages have America and Germany sitting by themselves.
But then again, there arn't many unquie 'units' these days."Show me a man or a woman alone and I'll show you a saint. Give me two and they'll fall in love. Give me three and they'll invent the charming thing we call 'society'. Give me four and they'll build a pyramid. Give me five and they'll make one an outcast. Give me six and they'll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they'll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home." - Glen Bateman, The Stand (Stephen King)

if you think - we've got languages in europe noone want's to speak, but the governements put in tons of money to keep it. but if it's forbidden, it can survive generations
ok, i'm completely off-topic, so to make this post a bit on-topic:
laszlo, i think you things make a lot more sence. the chat-stuff of course is wrong. i heard it some posts earlier. ABC looks a bit like civilopedia, but why with the worker action buttons. if it were in the general unit part, it would make more sence. ... we'll see- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

I know a similar situation of GuaranÃ, catalan is spoken by 10~11 milions and is the largest minor language in Europe (excluding the kurd in kurdistan).
We have more spokers than a lot of these eastern-europe countries, but you probably will find sooner a video instructions in Slovenian than Catalan... Pathetic!Signature: Optional signature you may use to appear at bottom of your posts
