Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Cool. Soon I'll have a way of keeping my swordsmen in use past the ancient age without having to put their upgrade path to go though knights.
I do hope that guerilla fighters have some extra ability and not just a new unit. Maybe giving them the invisible tag, but on land so that you don't spot them immediately (but so that AEGIS's don't either). Or making them like partisans from Civ2. Or something else.
Stuff and nonsense, Korea is one of the most exciting new civs to see in PTW. They have a rich and cultured history full of great achievements. From their great scientific inventions, to their famous wars with China and Japan. Though geography may have dealt them an awful hand, they managed to maintain their own unique language and culture for thousands of years. They are certianly one of the three great kingdoms of east Asia and just as worthy of inclusion (if not more so) than some of the many euro civs.

There are a few that I have NEVER seen before-especially for the worker unit! Anyone care to speculate on what some of the new buttons might do?
A few of them seem pretty self-explanatory. I think they are mostly just buttons for the worker functions that are currently only accessible via hotkeys.
I think the normal road symbol with the arrow on top is the "road-to" command.
Many of the ones in the middle of the top row are probably the different kinds of automation.
The "ABC" button is probably meant to open a chat window for MP games.
We'll have to wait and see for confirmation, though.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

IIRC, Firaxis said that the guerilla is a somewhat weaker infantry unit that doesn't need rubber. They're also testing hidden nationality for guerillas, but don't know how the AI will handle this.

Although I'll miss the Incas, Koreans are a good choice, too. (And maybe their inclusion is an attempt to reconciliate yin26 .)
"As far as general advice on mod-making: Go slow as far as adding new things to the game until you have the basic game all smoothed out ... Make sure the things you change are really imbalances and not just something that doesn't fit with your particular style of play." - WesW
sounds logical, but why do the celts have both the gallic swordsman and the medieval infantry in the screenshots?
perhaps firaxis put the med inf in there just to confuse us?

Actually, judging from the name of the Celt UU, I'd say it's based off of the Ancient Swordsman! I must say that, though these screenshots do answer a lot of questions (like what civs are in, what the Celt UU is and what the Men-at-Arms look like!) they also raise a couple of intriguing new questions, mostly pertaining to the interface buttons associated with the units! There are a few that I have NEVER seen before-especially for the worker unit! Anyone care to speculate on what some of the new buttons might do?
Anyway, I second what Darkworld just said. Thankyou Firaxis!!! I'm salivating like a Starving man who has just been shown an image of a 3-course meal!!!
Yours,
The_Aussie_Lurker.
Possibly, they are on-screen buttons for some of the current commands. The house on top of the wavy lines is probably "Irrigate to nearest city". Not sure what the others might be.
The true nature of a man is shown by what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.
EDIT (1) : But, what about of include a SECRET civ, for example, press CTRL + ALT + I in the start screen and the incans are here! Could be a nice feature/eastern egg . Is a bit videoconsole-like idea, but I believe that is great.
EDIT (2) : Some celtic city names are incorrect, I believe that should be in a Celtic phonetical similar name. Also, include some of Ireland / Wales / Scotland / Isle of Man / Cornwall / Britonia / Galiza like "Baile Atha Cliath" (Dublin) or "Caerdydd" (Cardiff).
swordsmen upgrade has been solved. but what's with longbowmen? they're still running around in my games in the late 1800s
has anyone got an idea what these worker-icons could mean: worker icons
top row:
icon 1: build road, then colony
icon 2: build road to
icon 3: automate and something
icon 4: irrigate and return home??
icon 5: automate and go home??
icon 6: automate and ??? (same icon in middle row)
icon 7: automate and don't change any existing improvement
icon 8: go home??
icon 9: some chat stuff
middle row: nothing new
lower row:
3rd last icon: patrol
last 2 icons: something with regicide? locate enemys king?
any ideas?

horseback riding is still being researched --> still in ancient times!!! so it can't be a medieval unit.
it does seem very overpowered, because it's fast and strong in offense (only immortals have the same attack in ancient age) and defense (only hoplites and legions are stronger)
my explanations:
- some other disadvantage (less HP, very expensive)
- celtic replacement for a new ancient unit (and knights and cavalry get stronger)
- firaxis want's us to speculate so we don't notice other things
btw: i've noticed to different cattle symbols on different screenshots... or is it a different bonus resource?

I am dissapointed that the Incas aren't in, but happy with the rest of the civs. Pleasantly surprised that Firaxis included the Arabs.
I agree that Vercingetorix would have been a better choice for a leader of the Celts, though Brennus looks really scary. Also wondering why some of the Celtic city names are in Latin. Seems like they used the Roman name for some of the towns instead of the Celtic name.
Also isn't it contradictory to have the Celtic UU be the Gallic Swordsman? I have to say that this is one of their stupider moves. Right up there with the Rider unit.
