Review set for early next week.PC.IGN
In any case, there seems to be plenty of meat on the single player bone, so I won't really complain (at least not until I write the review next week). In the meantime, we've got lots of screens below of my latest attempt at world domination. Check 'em out and tune in early next week for the full review

This proves that irrigations still require water. One thing that they can't do anymore is irrigate land without a fresh supply of water. Cities along the coast had better also be near a river or lake or inland sea if you want them to grow quickly. Once you discover electricity you can irrigate anywhere. Cities on rivers become even more important as a result. Even more so since they don't require aqueducts to grow beyond a certain size. Rivers run between the map tiles now and act as impediments rather than avenues of travel. Mountains and jungles are also off limits to wheeled units unless they are traveling on a road.

Good news for the AI, he likes it and the AI actually plays a bit differently with different Civs, no generic AI. Kick as$PC.IGN
Each civilization has two characteristics associated with it that provide unique bonuses and reveal a bit about their playing style (when handled by the AI at least).

Units with movement of more than 1 or 2 have ZOC i think. And units with range have a ZOC inside that range i think. Fortresses must i guess give ZOC to fortified infantry with movemetn 1quote:
PC.IGN
Zones of control have been eliminated in favor of allowing certain units and units in fortresses to take opportunity fire on passing enemy units.
