Mountains and jungles are also off limits to wheeled units unless they are traveling on a road
This is new, no mountain ranges really are natural barriers. It makes scorched earth retreating behind a mountain range a viable defensive option. Damn cool.

Units with movement of more than 1 or 2 have ZOC i think. And units with range have a ZOC inside that range i think. Fortresses must i guess give ZOC to fortified infantry with movemetn 1
But it says ZOC are eliminated period, no exceptions are mentioned

You can't just run around buying up enemy cities now either. Instead you'll have to trade with your rivals to gain control of their cities. And trust me, they set a pretty high price on their own cities
No more buying cities strategy ala Civ2/SMAC (never liked that strategy anyway, took the fun out of the conquest)

If you know that a rival is about to develop gunpowder, then it's wise for you to deny them access to any saltpeter deposits. And since they can't see the deposits until they develop gunpowder, they might not even catch on to what you're trying to do
Alright, now this is answered, the AI or yourself can't see undiscovered resources, even if an enemy can. Suddenly a war for useless territory might have sinister implications
Instead, now you can walk into a trap. I can just see it. You move into a square where theres 3 catapults around you. You get bombarded. All whats left is a mysterious field of boulders.

Heres a scenario
(1) You have a crappy low producing city.
(2) The enemy gets gunpowder (which you don't have)
(3) He offers to buy that crappy city cheap. You say yes
(4) You discover gunpowder, see that the only spot on the continent which has salpeter is in that crappy cities radius
(5) U now gotta trade for it

But you'll need to be smart in how you use your leaders. In the games I've played they've only come up about four times.
Nice to see they've been playbalanced so you can't just rush build all the wonders (how I plan to use my leaders early in the game, until production picks up with industrialization)

ME: You're standing on saltpeter aren't you Abe?
Abe: Nope.
