And here we go with the trade proposal to be PMed:

Legoland-GoW Banking+Astronomy/Chemistry+Metallurgy trade agreement

1) Legoland agrees to provide GoW with Banking, Astronomy, and a balance in gold. GoW agrees to not resell/trade/gift these techs to any other party for 20 turns from receiving them.

2) GoW agrees to provide Legoland with Chemistry and Metallurgy (which shall be its next research goal after completing the research of Chemistry). Legoland agrees to not resell/trade/gift Chemistry to any other party for 20 turns after receiving it. Legoland agrees to not resell/trade/gift Metallurgy to any other party for 20 turns after receiving it.

3) The trade shall happen as follows: once GoW discovers Chemistry, it shall be offered as 'unaccepted' to Legoland. Legoland shall counter with Banking, Astronomy, and 100 gold, 'accepting' the deal on its part. GoW shall then finalize the first part if the trade by 'accepting' it. Immediately after GoW discovers Metallurgy, it shall be offered as 'unaccepted' to Legoland. Legoland shall counter with 100 gold and 'accept' the deal on its part. GoW shall then finalize the whole deal by 'accepting' it, too.

Hi, MZ!

Standard wording - the only thing to note is that I made you start the trade procedure (allows us to deliver Theory of Gravity to you as 'accepted' one turn earlier):

Legoland-GoW Magnetism/Military Tradition trade agreement

1) Legoland agrees to provide GoW with Theory of Gravity. GoW agrees to not resell/trade/gift Theory of Gravity to any other party for 20 turns from receiving it.

2) GoW agrees to provide Legoland with Military Tradition. Legoland agrees to not resell/trade/gift Military Tradition to any other party for 20 turns from receiving it.

3) The trade shall happen as follows: in 670AD (Turn 183) GoW shall offer Military Tradition to Legoland as 'unaccepted'. Legoland shall immediately counter with Theory of Gravity, accepting the deal on its part. GoW shall then (in 680AD, Turn 184) finalize the trade by accepting it, too.

We would appreciate having the agreement 'signed' and PMed back to us before we get to play our next turn (as that is when we are going to start with our next tech - which will, if the trade agreement is ratified, be Theory of Gravity).

I was thinking about it, and I see two possible motivations for GoW giving us MT. They either still really are being friendly with us, or they are setting up a situation in which GS and ourselves will potentially pound each other around quite a bit. They may be playing both sides, hoping we'll eventually weaken each other. There is, I suppose, also the off chance they be hoping to win us over in an eventual conflict with ND. Let's just hope they really are just being nice
