  • This ain;t the AI... Workers aren't tempting.

Re a MedInf attack, this is totally a 'gut' call for me. Whittling / damaging one Immortal just feels right.
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

Duas uncias in puncta mortalis est.

    • I've already set the worker to mining, so Vox can make a grab if they want to. It will be interesting to see whether they disband him or actually try to hold onto him if they take the bait. Counting the new worker from Cyclone, we still have seven workers west of the river and another three east (I added one to Hurricane) even if Vox grabs that one, so the worst case isn't terrible in terms of the number of workers we have left.

      • Maybe they'll move the whole stack there?

        • It might be a tempting target for their 1HP Immortal, which is almost a sure kill and another shot at a Leader. If not, we need that tile mined anyways!

          • Theseus, if we lose an attack and Vox hits Arashi, we'll have three cats, three pikes, two wounded medieval infantry (3/4 and 2/3), and a healthy WC for Vox to hit before they start getting into wounded WCs. That's against four healthy vet immortals, two healthy regular immortals, whatever is left of the vet immortal we attack, and a vet immortal with only one hit point left. We could probably hold without really terrible casualties, but if the RNG goes against us, it could get nasty.

            • Vox Daily War Report for 610BC - From the Voxian Ministry of Information

It was an "interesting" turn. (yes, dear, I love that dress. )

To start with - a number of inferior Voxian units which were positioned as decoys were eliminated as expected by Gathering Storm forces. This allowed General Jon to push south - discovering the city of Tempest. And oh yes - Dissident the Deadly eliminated a veteran pikeman in the process.

It is also now apparent that GS has a navy - although, as it is obvious that the infidels must use women to fight ther land battles, their galleys are manned by children and old men pressed into service by the debased leadership which runs the country.

All in all, Voxian military leaders are not dissatisfied with the progress of the war. Despite some minor losses - major in-roads are being made into Storm territory.

May The One bless the Voxian troops in the field and showthem the path to Victory.
              The Voxian spin is out...

              • We should challenge Vox's "men" to a ship race.

                  • Why not? Vox's situation is starting to look more and more like Iraq's every day.

                    • Was out of the loop today, and I"m sorry I missed the festivities! But....it looks like things are well in hand. Each turn that goes by, the Voxian army looks less and less threatening....already up to "average" with them.....they must be squirming!

No, and neither will Vox be after a couple more turns if all goes well.

                            • We still need to make a final decision on whether our eastern galleys should go on the same tile or set up a blockade.

With the western galley, I'm tempted to move to Whirlwind 4-4 this turn for maximum exploration. That shouldn't delay the earliest we can land a couple pikes in Voxian lands to try to cut their iron road.
