Victorious Federal forces march through the streets of Richmond after a spectacular breakthrough on the Kentucky front led to a complete route of Confederate forces in the area. "Once we were in the rear, we licked 'em good," commented General Custer, hero of the Second Mexican War.

President Roosevelt said, "BULLY!" upon hearing the news. By all signs, victory is immenant and by Christams our soldiers will be home again and the Union will be whole once more.

The Times, October 1914 Issue

Skirmishing in Africa
Lagos.- Hearing of the approaching German army from both sides, Mejor General Horrocks, commander of the British army units in Lagos, ordered a full frontal assault against an unsuspecting column of cavalry and artillery of the evil Hun. In the end, the day was British and the enemy cavalry and artillery were decimated by the brave British tommies. However, Horrocks has received reports of an advancing troop of Germans nearby and has stated that Lagos may not hold out much longer without supplies or reinforcements, and a relief force has left London with reinforcements and supplies for the King's boys.

MORE PLANES!!!

Featuring the Albatros D-III, the Fökker E.III, the Gotha G.V., the Airco (de Havilland) D.H.2, the Morane-Saulnier Type L, the Sopwith Pup, the Nieuport Scout XVII, and the Curtis Super Hudson.

Having now finished all of the necessary planes for the scenario, I intend to have the promised upgrade out soon, with the new planes, a few minor tweaks, and a fix for Part V.

Here we go. Version 1.3.

Changes for version 1.3:
-New airplane graphics.
-The air attack abilities of the destroyer have been removed.
-Zeppelins have been given ten range, four firepower, and two hit points, as opposed to the eight range, three firepower, and three hit points of bombers. This reflects the zeppelin's longer cruising radius and its ability to carry greater bomb loads.
-The attack ability of the submarine has increased to ten. This will hopefully allow submarines to have a chance to actually kill a dreadnought in an attack, something that people have complained about to no end.
-After 1914, Mormon rebels become defense-oriented units with the attributes of normal infantry. Starting in 1916, the capabilities of the Mormon rebels will decrease one defense and one attack per year. This will prevent the Confederate player from using the tried and true (and cheating) strategy of conquering the world with Mormons. *shudder*
-Black Socialist Rebels will similarly begin to degrade starting in 1917, thus preventing the Yankee player from using the tried and true (and cheating) strategy of conquering the world with black socialists. *shudder* In a future version, I intend to fix it so that if the Yankees kill a Black Labor Brigade after 1915, they will gain a Black Socialist Rebel unit. At the moment I do not have the event space to do that though.
-The problem with Part V stemmed from there being too many events for the allocated event space. This has now been fixed.

I think that's about it for the changes. The most readily visible ones will appear in the form of the new plane graphics. All of the other things are minor behind the scenes changes. Please update your files accordingly and go ahead to use the Version 1.3 files from here on out as we play the game.

Also, I am trying to figure out how to convert mp3s into wav files, but not just any wav files, the special ones that Civ2 will accept. Does anyone know how to do this? I have some World War I period music and some fitting background music that I would like to put in there somehow.
