For the next election we should use a much stricter system. I propose that instead of a poll, that in the next elections we will pm our votes to a neutral who will count them up and cross-reference the voters with the people on our members list. That will help stop people from trying to rig the elections.

And who would the neutral be? I take back what I said earlier about keeping the vote secret. We post the votes in the open, simplest way.

Also, someone please close the poll.

              Here are the findings:

              Centre: 5 votes.
              Harmony: 4 votes.
One Israel: 10 votes - 2 (Panag/Sabra) = 8 votes. Some are suspiscious, it would be good to track these down.

Nevertheless, the breakdown seems to me to be.

              One Israel: 2 seats.
              Centre: 2 seats.
              Harmony: 1 seat.

If you wish, I don't care strongly one way or another, I just wanted the poll closed. We will never poll vote again.

One Israel and Centre are currently in the process of negotiating a coalition.

                    One Israel: 2 seats.
                    Centre: 2 seats.
                    Harmony: 1 seat.

We have 4 votes and only get one seat?

                    8,5,4 = 17

                    4/17 approx 4/16 = 1/4

                    1/4, 1/4, 1/2 is the best proportion.

Therefore we ought to give One Israel 2 seats, Centre 1 seat and the Harmony party 1 seat.

The election math was already decided in the Basic Rules, you can go there and see the mathematical formula. It was specifically approved before the election started so that we would not argue over what is most "fair" in distribution.

                            Then what about 3-1-1?

And I don't see where the rules thread says that the party that won the election ought to get the same number of seats as the party that finished second.

Because One Israel did not get near 3/5th's of the vote, so there is no reason we should get three seats.

The math is in the Basic Rules.
