    All we need is a lot of gold, and be able to afford the shield support in the nearest city; both of which we have some problems with.

    But I agree in concept.

      Use Dips for bribery (unit and city), tech theft, and exploration.

      The only embassy I favor is with the powerful Americans, and even that Dip may be better spent on tech theft.

        You can't really decide if tech theft is a good option unless you establish an embassy first so you can learn what they have. I'd rather have the embassy than take a chance that the civ has nothing I particularly want. Especially with one that is a long dip journey away.

          I'd rather have the embassy than take a chance that the civ has nothing I particularly want.
          Alongside the other benefits of an embassy, such as knowing how many cities they have and the relationships between our AI opponents.
          Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

            I have always thought that embassies are good in a democracy game as it allows the minister of foreign affairs to give so much more info to the people
