Hmm. I just caught gator. I got the source of the page that causes gator to pop-up, but all it says on this page is 'please wait'. The code causes it to pop-up under the bottom of your screen, and I think it has an auto timer to shut itself after.
About two seconds before gator pop-ed up I got this ad, but I closed it straight away, so I dont know what it was advertising. When I try to open it now, it just auto shuts my browser. My history has this ad as happening the same minute the gator poped up. Also the number of visits to this site co-incide with the number of visits to the webpdp.gator site.

Interestingly enough, the images.adflow site that gator opens after you close it is giving 404 errors. Are these the ads you have stopped for the time being?
This is the source code that causes gator to pop up. You need to rename it to a .html ending to have the full gator experience.
