Are you having problems with regular styles or special styles? If you don't have a problem with regular styles, it has to be one of the popup ads.
No, I didn't read the whole thread. Sorry.

    I am using default-special.

      • Got a pop-up blocker and am prompting for cookies.

Had to do it because this stuff has gotten to the point of obnoxious. How many times do I really need to see that same Britaney Speers pop-up?

        • Ok, the above link is a snapshot of my Temporary Internet Files (Cookies) directory. I've been keeping it cleaned out waiting for Gator to strike again...and it didn't let me down.

As shown on this snapshot, at 10/1/2003 8:18PM Gator was logged (Cookie:Troy@gator.com) at the same moment 10/1/2003 8:18PM z1.adserver (Cookie:Troy@z1.adserver.net) was also logged.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that z1.adserver is the advertiser responsible for gator terrorizing Apolyton of late.

Dan, if this isn't enough information, then quite frankly I believe that you do not want to end your dealings with z1.adserver - for what ever reason.

This may sound rather harsh, but z1.adserver has been reported in the past as a possible culprit, but for some reason has been ignored or was responded to as not having enough information to accuse z1.adserver. Well, here's the smoking gun.

            • Wittlich: Why don't you either start using Opera or download the google bar that blocks ads - at least until this gator problem is fixed. If that isn't possible, follow UR's advice and change your style to not show popups.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

"z1.adserver.net" is just the name of a computer at adserver.net, which might not be a company that directly deals with ACS.

This might be so, but Dan could still block z1.adserver's access to Apolyton.

                          • I don't know if he has the right to block a server. It's like just taking away an ad banner...

                            • Well, it's his site. IMO, he has every right to block offending servers.
