@ DrSpike. Of course I always say no, but like Asmodean stated, the damned program writes to my registry - so that's what I have to continually clean out.

Damn! Here I go again, Gator decided to pay me another visit!
Is it my imagination or has Gator sightings increased in the past few days?

I think the occurence has increased. I have been less on Apolyton than usual these past few days, but I have seen more Gator in the last two days, than in the last two weeks.

Run adaware and find out for yourself.
Also remember, non-IE browsers are less likely to be tricked into downloading or even offering stuff like gator to you.
I'm on a 56k at the moment so can't check the entire thread, but I seem to recall all the gator ads being from IE browsers.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).Comment

Does anyone know if this has been fixed? I had other programs in the background all the time I was doing this. I had an ad pop-up at the same time as the gator one, but when I tried to look at it it opened under my task bar where I couldnt read it. I played in the task manager and got it maximised. The screen was blank, so I looked in the source and found it is most likely responsible for the gator. I have saved the source info and the address of the ad if this info is of any use.Safer worlds through superior firepowerComment
