We have retaken our U.N. base from the Hive. Although we expect to lose the base next turn we have gained the advantage of Doc:Air power which is now off to Morgan who will have more time to implement it. Thanks Spasm! I couldn't have done it with out you.

      • Wgabrie was right. UN Pillar of Rights is no more ;-)

        In other news:
The Admiral Gorsky air defense heavy cruiser ocupied, unresisted, the Morgan naval base, and began an intense bombardment of Morgan shores, while the Kirov covered operations ship stole 30 credits from the Morgan HQ. Other fleet assets will join the battle group shortly.

Hive Communique to ALL Planet human forces:
I think the AIs have grown too powerful, and our suqabling has done nothing to prevent that. They might be "pacifist"s but they WILL strike. I suggest we start discussions on a formal truce.

A Gaian Force is already enroute to attack and conquer/ eliminate War Outpost. We will then proceed as is determined to be in the Gaian's best interests, and that of our pactmate, Chiarman Spasmofit.

The bitterness our troops feel over the loss of our comrades at U.N. Pillar of Rights is still fresh in our minds, and wrankles us deeply that we were not able to finish the job of eliminating the Peace Keeper faction that we had started. Unless guarranteed safe passage towards Memory of Earth for our Mindworm units currently stationed north of the Peace Keeper enclave, we will not budge, and continue to harass the Peace Keeper faction as we see fit.

            • Here is what I propose:

              1) The period 2180 - 2200 will be a period of total peace between the human players. We will pact for the cash. If a player decides to attack in this interval, the other 2 MUST declare a game-long vendetta on him.

              2) We all declare vendetta towards the 2 major AI players.

              3) After the 20 turns are over (maybe earlier) we renegociate.

              4) We all state demads we have for peace to be signed.

Here is the (short) list of my demands:
              a) The PK won't build any new bases. if they do so, the deal is off.
              b) Morgan stays away from the north half of Spartan territory. In exchange, I won't attack the Believers.

I'm waiting for your demands. If we agree, we'll sign pact and get back to building!

But remember! Until we sign peace, it's business as usual!

              • Here are my list of demands:
                a) The Morganites will not declare vendetta on the Believers during set time. In exchange no more PK bases will be built.
                b) Troops are not to occupy other players bases for long periods of time, but it's allowable if they are in need of repair or just need passage through. Agreed?

I want to wait for darsnan to reply before I play the turn, so we can get this agreed upon this turn.

                • My demands:

Besides War Outpost, we will take the following part of the Spartan pie:

                  1. Fort Superiority
                  2. Defiance Freehold
                  3. Fort Survivalist
                  4. Assassin's Redoubt

Also, the University is mine: because they are situated so close to Gaian territory, any other faction gaining this base would have the ability to attack by air almost my entire domain.

If these terms are acceptable, then I would ask Commissioner wgabrie2 to offer treaty with me this turn, then next turn demand that i remove all units from PK territory. This will facilitate getting my mindworms into attack/ defense position against the Spartans. We then can pact afterwards for the money (Gaian shudder at the abhorred word).

I would also comment that, at 15 years after the truce, we re-evaluate the situation: we may need more than 20 years to defeat the AI.

                  • Agreed, but only if you don't trade techs with her, or give/take loans to/from her! (wgabrie's clause regarding Miriam)

                      • For the time being, the Gaians will share intelligence information with everyone: we will be attacking War Outpost in 2 Standard Turns. We will then cleanse the surrounding area of any remaining Spartan units, and then proceed with our assault proper on the Spartan mainland. By that time, both the Hive and Morganites should be advancing on Spartan positions as well. Please share with me any info that you think pertinent to my advance from the northwest.

                        • I have disengaged on all fronts and sued for peace.
I have began to move towards Sparta.

                          • If it's not one thing it's another, I had a little trouble. A.I. Gaian's declaired war when I demanded a withdrawal. No action should be taken, but Darsnan will have to move the Mind Worms manualy, Sorry.

                            • I began my assault on War Outpost this turn by airially bombarding it. If anyone was not aware before this, the Spartans and Believers are pacted: both had units in War Outpust (emphasis on HAD! ). War Outpost will fall next turn and mop-up operations will commence immediately.

                              Turn to Spasm!

                              • Well, it seems that the Spartans are getting it! Good thing that the 8 units sent towards Morgan are getting reused this way.
