I do remember that we had other plans for that SL though...any opinions?
    Sounds good

Turn is in! No messages, and MW placement looks good. Injured MW could move west to block one MW, while other two MWs can be captured/destroyed by our new MW and Unity Rover. Oh, and BTW we are the human faction with largest population since this turn .

Want to post a pic of the Worm situation? It would be great to not have to move Mr. Ouch! Worm....Remeber that our Spore launcher will be coming from the south, that we have a free scout coming the next turn, and that there is a scout already in the nearest base. Not safe, but not an emergency either. Heal da woim!

        Most Population weird.

          Here it is:
Oh and other faction have 7, 8 and 8 population points (forgot the order of factions) while we have nine population points. Could mean sth but I just thought it is an interesting fact .

            Where's CT?

Notice how our worm didn't heal? That's b/c I tried to capture a MW with it, which used up it's chance to heal, even though it didn't move. Drat.

                Plan of Action for 2131

Try to capture or kill the remaining hostile mind worm.

Move the spore launcher on the new continent into position to pop the newly discovered pod, with the rover nearby to help out.

Clear fungus at the head of Greem River and make a road to the Uranium Flats.

                Plant some forest.

If in fact we will be going for a SP, here's what we need to do:

Hurry for optimal minerals/ECs ratio. The more minerals we can get for a low price, the better, since we need a lot. For this reason, I hurried all of our formers all the way, instead of hurrying just one minimally.

Produce 0-1-1 probe teams for 18 minerals each. We get a better ratio when cashing them (9/18 vs 13/27) and we get the stockpile energy kick more often. They're also cheaper to hurry. I would like to switch two of our probe team-producing bases to making 0-1-1s. Virgin Soil is making a probe team that is intended to probe, and can finish that.

We now (since Industrial Base) have the option to produce 0-2-2 probe teams. These monstrosities cost 6 mineral rows (9 as a prototype), but are perfect to put in the build queue before pod pops. If we get such a favorable pop, we not only get a 6 mineral row probe team, we prototype synthmetal.

This would be great! If we would only have such luck. 6 row unit would ensure 3 rows for our SP and we would have a prototype. I trust you watch to switch production in nearby bases when popping . Too bad we are popping bonuses in New Muirland (continent to the west), credits and units would be better, but at least we are denying chance to others to do it.

The problem is for the synthmetal probe teams, that unless we produce it at all the bases, the pods might end up completing some other production instead.

Pods always complete production of the nearest base IIRC.

                        Agree with the Plan.

What to do with our rover/worm that need healing but are due for a ferry trip or exploring? I suggest healing this turn, then moving the baby worm into boarding position for the ferry.

                          Turn's in!

                          BIG NEWS!!

We definitely have a human opponent on the new continent. Upon opening the turn, there was a landmark "SH pod?" near our spore launcher.

I won't actually play the turn until we get a little more feedback on everything.

                            Play it.

What do we still need feedback on? Everything?

The only thing I think we need to come to terms on is Diplomacy. We seem agreed on the probe-rush-SP plan, which takes care of production. We seem cautious and calculating r/e the worm herd (no trying to attack with hurt units, moving blockers, etc etc...). We have a great plan with multiple levels of redundancy and alternates.

Diplomacy: Meet + Greet the humans, Meet + steal tech from the AIs.

Question: If a human faction offers Treaty and we still could pop some pods on their island, should we accept Treaty? I suggest we refuse treaty until we are satisfied with our explorations.

Question: If an AI faction offers Treaty/Trade/Commlink/Maps/Pacts, what to do? I suggest we take the friendly + no-pay route until we have some probes in position. No need to antagonize the AI just yet.

But these are concerns that can be addressed after actually meeting the other factions. So let's play it!

We do not need to concern with AI diplomacy questions. Finding is as expected, question still remains which one? I would leave out Sparta, since they would not obviously leave so many pods - they are great pod poppers. So we have either Angels or Morgans in my opinion. If we move Spore Launcher there we will probably establish contact since the faction will see us on their next turn and will contact us. Question is, do we really want this to happen?
See my opinion in diplomacy thread about other things-
