Explore with the rover and spore launcher

Move independent scout patrol into Gaia's Landing; move spore launcher out

Heal mind worm for two turns before opening the pod to its northeast.

Formers on CP's tile builds road

CP moves to its base site

    Decisions:

The unity foil found another pod, in open sea. We can pop it if we feel adventurous.

We can use our injured mindworm to pop the pod as planned last turn, and hope we can capture or otherwise kill any resulting mind worms.

MW seems too injured for popping - I seriously doubt it can survive combat. Also, I am against taking any risk with Unity foil until we can support it somehow.
I guess new SL will go west and rover south?

CT points out in the turn summary that we need to finalize our base production plans. If you havn't yet voted for what each base should produce, go vote in the poll!

U-Foil bravely runs away NE NE

I don't mind our MW popping the pod now. At this stage we could see 3 MWs pop, but we aren't moving any targets through the area. If we find a monolith it would be nice. Waiting is fine with me too though.

The thing about popping the pod with the mind worm is that it doesn't need to survive combat:

It has a good chance to capture whatever comes out
        and
a mind worm that pops to the south or southeast of the pod could be handled by the scout in base #3, at the cost of a doctor for 1 turn.

It's either pop or heal completely I think. Healing would be nice to get ready for the returning ferry trip, but popping that pod now has many potential benefits and few things to weigh against it.

              No heal - pop!

Even if there will be 3 MWs, they wont attack our MW - we have +1 planet and no ecodamage

Correct me if Im wrong, but I dont recall MWs attacking Gaian worm in such a state when Gaians have no ecodamage!

I thought native life did not attack other native life unless provoked. If you pop a pod and a worm comes out, it won't attack your worm. I think anyway

I've seen both ways, so I tend to assume the worst.

I've tested this a lot and I've never seen a native attack a +Planet faction's natives if they are not stacked with non-natives. It is still risky if 3 popped worms get interested in our bases however. Nonetheless, I say 'Go for it'

I see no danger in popping the pod. OTOH, we could wait till it's within a base radius in the future. That gives a better chance at a favorable pop, I believe. If we do pop it now, make sure VS has a Net Node or Probe in production.

I think we can keep the MW on our continent since we were lucky enough to capture another spore launcher. Save it to heal and then explore our northern frontier. I'd like to build a probe team to join our explorers to our west, and another to go and say "Hi" to the Hive.

Definitely take ZERO risks with the foil.

Otherwise, things are looking very good. Onward Gaians!

Sometimes I feel very bad about attacking the native life. They don't attack me, retreat away, but I chase them for the planetpearls, and it feels like betrayal.

We've been discussing this for several years. What has changed your mind? The mindworm is the single best land explorer until hovercraft. Why would we keep it at home?

We've got a lot to explore right here at home and we already have 2 explorers abroad. I'd like to send a probe rather than a MW next since the foil only carries one unit at a time.
If it's already been decided otherwise, I'll go along, but I think my plan is better.

Here's a thought, its probably very far away, and not counting our chickens before they hatch, but if we get Weather Paradigm, any lowering or raising of artificial land bridges we would want to do?
