    Members of the Gaian Council,

First, let me open this message by warning you that we have discovered a Spartan transport on the eastern shore of the Hive territory within radius of the base there. We could spot a probe team in it. We believe that this ship is heading to your territory.
This warning in case your intelligence missed it.

Secondly, regarding the Gaian proposal for a Pact with the Data Angels. Our DataJacks are mostly in favour of such a bound between our factions, but before we can commit ourselfes we need to now some more.

Due to the fact that we try to maintain our neutrality in the present conflict(s) on Planet, we would like to hear your view regarding the war between the Corporate and the Junta. Do you plan to affiliate yourself with either faction? Would the Council expect from us to choose sides if we pact with you?

There are probably more questions to come, but this is a start.

    Regards,
    IT GeoModder
How should we respond to them regarding the Morganite/Spartan war? I favor ensuring balance between the two sides, but there is a significant possibility the Spartans will become overtly hostile to us in the next decade.

Conventional wisdom dictates the longer a momentum faction waits, the weaker it gets. But I am sure the Spartans are too smart to let that happen. They will have Doc:AP soon (if they don't already) and we'll all be up the creek once they do. It will be just a matter of them getting bases close enough to launch air raids.

We can either get stomped now or later. If the DA, Morganites, and Gaians join together now, we may have the combined weight to stop them.

The only thing I question is wether or not we need to declare our pact. I say we keep quiet about it to the Spartans til the time is ripe.

        • Assuming the Spartans were intelligent enough to infiltrate the Morganites, they'll know about their pact with us as soon as they play their turn. We can still try to play down what the pact entails if the Spartans protest, but they aren't much for normal diplomacy.

We received from the Spartans some energy -and mineral income numbers of the Morgans, which where between 150-200 in both cases. To me this sounds like they (the Morgans) have still the ability to recover from the loss of their capital.

Thus, the Spartans have in fact infiltrated the Morganites.

            • To Gaian Union,

The update of our research situation is in order. Recently we have acquired some new technologies, and as the analysis of our databanks indicates we may offer you the following technologies for trade:

              Superconductor
              Environmental Economics
              Optical Computers
              Progenitor Psych
              Field Modulation
              Adaptive Economics

              PK commlink

Would you have anything to trade in exchange?

              Sincerely,

                    To Gaian Union,

We would like to ask you about possibility of entering the Pact agreement with your faction. Some time ago we received a letter from you indicating that you seriously consider such possibility. We feel, that Pact between Gaian Union and Data Angels will be soon possible.
Would you be willing to enter such agreement?

                    • Let's get cash and SFF from Morgan (so we're only 1 tech in debt to Morgan) and Env Eco from DA. Then hook in our AA. All for Pact here! Builders unite against the momentum player - lets out build Sparta for good!

                            • To the Gaian Council,

We were gratified that Gaian losses didn't seem so high as feared as first news of the slaughter on your border blockade came in, and certainly not in such excess as the Morgans had to endure.

We've noticed that your current research, EnvEcon, is already in our possession, and you will finish it in say 5 years at present.

However, if both we and your other ally the Corporation could provide you with EnvEcon and Synthetic Fossil Fuels there might be the possibility that you could switch to Doctrine: Air Power. This might be of great benefit to the Gaian defense.

You can of course try to obtain both those technologies from the Corporation, but this way you could decrease the possible price the Corporation might ask for these technologies.

In return, we would expect a technology of course. Which if all goes well would be Doctrine: Air Power as well.

                              Regards,
                              IT GeoModder

                              • Ouro could you conduct the diplo regarding this?

I think we can agree on deal like:

                                Morgan -> Gaia: SFF
                                Morgan <- Gaia: D:AP

                                DA -> Gaia: Env Econ
                                DA <- Gaia: D:AP
