I have just forwarded the morgan 2134 turn, and presend is attached below.
    • All movements as on above screenie, only former near SH already used its turn, so it in fact did not have a turn to move to another tile. Colony pod was not succesful, and stopped at the end of road - only two tiles forward then.
    • All fungus attempts succesful
    • As requested former between EM and SH aids farm efort west from EM. Next turn farm will be completed

Oh, I would forgot. There is something for all of us to cheer up:
Our might is recognised as Pathetic... we need these new bases.

This is how my screen capture program works with SMAX under Win XP. I am happy that it works at all... When I use some other screen captures often I get black screen. Some graphics is screwd too, look at nutrient and mineral bonuses or probe teams.

Looks good to me, and I like that many crawlers in production. Are we planning on cashing them all on a SP?

            Turn 2135

Not much to report on our behalf.
Hurried the crawler production in KP for 6 ec's, I suggest a colony pod next turn.
It seems (see screenshot) that the Gaians are indeed retreating their scout units, probe 000 'met' the spore launcher.
The Hive Synth is still present, and probe 111 has a mindworm on it's tail.
            Formers are working apace.

My greatest worry is this: the Morgans have started three secret projects simultaneously!! How are they doing that? Are they using a swiss cheese building scheme or sth??

Gaians have made a rather light offer to exchange IndAuto for. See more in the Diplo Plug-in thread. I think it's starting to be paramount that we ally them for quite some time for culling the Morgans. At least if what I see in the 'while we are waiting game' is an indication we're toast if we don't act somehow.

Here is the Secret Project screen:

And last but not least, the screenshot. We're definitely 'pathetic' now. Should we reconsider our base construction grid and put them tighter together or do we continue as we do now?

We will have to use some strategy to win. I wouldn't worry too much though. We can still pop boom, and this is what I would think of. We can have more spaced bases. If we use all continent, let us expand to the sea. Victory will be in details and all those smart small moves as for probe team actions, allies, trade, etc.
For pop boom we need children creshes. Let's make it after we are done with our present B-line.

                    Some thoghts:

                    - Northern probe team will allow for moving colony pod to the tile north. I would move scout unit there too for its security. Weak units like probe team and colony pod only might trigger hive for attack - i have seen such things in single player.

                    - regarding situation above, maybe move rover prior to leaving monolith tile to that monolith tile? that might be better or not?

                    - where to establish the base? basesite1? or checkpoint isthmus? I would go for basesite1 - faster. and then just go as fast as possible to the site east from "isthmus" - good spot anyway. We can enter basesite1 in two turns using probe team again - it moves north and then south east to reenter hive synth control zone on basesite1

                    - to pop a unity pod on the east - the closes is RPS base. Make Network node there for possible mineral supply.

                    - another thoght - maybe use the rover to kill all those aliens (2 of them now) between us and hive? then it moves to the monolith and then to probe team tile north next turn >>> in that case scout stays in monolith - we need blockade for that hive unit. Rover then escorts colony pod to the new base, and when the base builds scout (we need it) rover goes to make passage for probe team to the hive

I like that last setup the most. It's a bit stupid to leave our most mobile unit as guard detail.

I wonder now where we're gonna see the Gaian spore launcher next turn: to the north of 000 or on it's west side in the fungus.

'kay, we continue as planned then for the moment regarding base setup, it's easier to manage anyway.

Yes, and in that case - goodbye popping the Unity pod

I have an idea - maybe ask Gaians to specifically NOT to enter the tile south from their current location of the spore launcher? Very politely and with: "Thank you for your cooperation"

Or maybe I'm wrong - probe teams ignore zone of controls.... right?

Yes, they do. So no joy there discovering if they wanted to do sth sneaky. The point is moot anyway, our probe blocks them from entering the pod tile this turn.

                            Good.

Perhaps reminding them to get their units off our land though and not pop any further pods as they agreed? As it is, we can't trust that they haven't gained something from those pods. And while making an incident of it probably isn't wise, harping about it might be.

I guess, they have quite a problem what to do. As if they are not sure how to give as little as possible. Or maybe they really do not have anything. I have to study technology intelligence a bit more. One of the possibilities is that they are not expecting the Ind Auto soon. But maybe they have Progenitor Psych??? For us that might be usefull, though maybe not as good as Doc: Flex IMHO
