With the domination of the entire planet at hand, the Druid makes plans to boost scientific progress.
1774: Yokohama falls, the government resigns.
1776: A Democratic government is formed.
1778: Labor Union discovered, research changed to Advanced Flight. A massive Temple construction initiative is started to keep the populace happy. Superfluous offensive units are disbanded.

Waaaaaaahhhhhhh
You're kidding me. My turn, and no enemies to fight? And in order to kill any baddies I have to build a ship from scratch and land it within 10 turns?
OK, I love a challenge...
I should have it played by Sunday.

1790: Six Thousand Year Old Man, still remarkably well preserved, attains the Presidency, and immediately begins contruction of a spaceship which will allow us to reach the Brr'til. Do they have things we need? Nope. Have they attacked us? Nope. Insulted us? Nope. It's 'just because' - although I note the Brr'til have a city called 'Kabul'.
Taxes adjusted to 5.3.2. Construction changed in some cities to SS Structurals/Components.
Brr'til learn Steam Engine.
1792: Superconductor discovered. Researching Fusion Power. Hey, who automated the Engineers? FESS UP! Treasury drained to purchase spaceship parts.
1794: Many SS parts built. Granaries sold (360 gold). Some barbarians get pasted near Turin. Taxes adjusted to 6.2.2.
Brr'til learn Railroad.
1796: Fusion Power discovered. Researching Recycling. Sewer Systems sold in 2 cities. Last SS parts rushbuilt, Celt seers having advised STYOM that a 1-1-1-8-8-33 spaceship will reach Alpha Centaurus, centre of the evil Brr'til empire, the fastest.
Brr'til learn Magnetism. 1 tech per turn, hmm.
1798: C.S.S. Cunobelin launched, estimated arrival 1803. Taxes readjusted to 4.4.2.
1799: Recycling discovered. Researching Stealth.
Brr'til learn Chemistry. The cheating alien p*****
1800: A year lacking in significance.
By some miracle, the Brr'til don't learn anything this turn.
1801: Stealth discovered. Researching Environmentalism.
Brr'til learn Industrialization.
1802: Environmentalism discovered. Researching Future Tech.
1803: C.S.S. Cunobelin lands. Ahh, 2 Colonists and 2 Marines... far too distant from the Brr'til to be of any use
1804: Future Technology discovered. Researching Ultrastring Theory. New Lisbon founded on Centaurus.
STYOM retires from the Presidency once again, frustrated that not a single shot was fired in anger.
*** cheat sheet - recall Ultrastring Theory cancels MC, so get ready for some major unrest. The Japanese continent is 'opposite' some major Brr'til territories, so that would be a good place to build some teleporters. ***Attached Files"I'm a guy - I take everything seriously except other people's emotions"

If Hydey, MBloomIII or JoeK (in that order) don't reply before the 29th, I'll play . It'll be a succession game for two then ...
Anyone still alive?

I'm still playing.
I just happen to be traveling a lot over the last few months. I won't be back home until the 7th or 8th of December to play another turn. I'll just jump in wherever the game happens to be when I get back to my computer.

Hey, a question... are we heading for conquest here? Because if we research Transcendence, I think the game ends. And then, no conquest
