    • Russia would like to invite Spanish traders to destinations throughout Russia, we will never collect tarriffs from those who wish to open trade between their home country and Mother Russia.

      • So case, you really don't see the need for a council in which we are to vote for stuff like the abolishing vs standardizing of tariffs?
Or the removal of Railroads (something everyone I've talked to so far seems to be in favour of), etc?

        • Government in Russia Collapses!

While it appeared that the reconstruction of Russia was going well and that Russia would be back up on feet after just af ew short months under the direction of President H Tower, that appearance, that shining beacon of hope was dashed to the ground today and trampled beneath the feet of demonstrators and smashed when the treaty between Germany and Russia was finally carried out. When the German troops left to return home, the Russian administrators sent to take over were woefully inequipped and overwhelmed by the massive unrest in the cities. In the city of Smolensk for example, seven eighths of the city began rioting as soon as the germans left! Under the immense strain of having to deal with the added cities in addition to the ones already swamped with problems, the fragile coalition government that had been put together dissolved into the cloud twilight. The darkness that everyone had feared who happen has come to pass as the military took over and attempts to regain order. meanwhile, people are starving in the streets by the thousands. Of the few people maintaining calm, many of them noted how thinly the military seemed stretched. It is feared that the military is not even large enough to keep the cities from unrest, much less defend against a foriegn threat. Inbetween trying to rally the troops from the low morale and trying to hold the failed government together, ex-President, again General H Tower sent out a plea to European leaders for financial support, with an empty treasury and an anarchist government, it is predicted that before another two months are up, Russians will be starving in the streets while a bankrupt government is forced to sell off buildings to help maintain other government buildings.

EDIT: Russia refuses to remove her railroads while it does not even have enough military units to fill every city

I see the need for those reforms, but I really don't see the need for a council.

            • The council would do things like mediate territorial disputes, and so on. It would regulate trade and perhaps force members to live up to their commitments. Also stop wars before they start, and help halt them in progress before they get too costly.

Also Jugoslavija is only at war with Spain because...I don't know, it happened before I took over. Also, Spanish ships are currently NOT allowed to enter Jugoslavijian waters and/or the Dardanelles. Any unauthorized Spanish transports found in Med League waters by Jugoslavijian ships will be considered smugglers and sunk. If Spain wants to trade with Jugoslavija the tariff is 25% of the money made by the trade route. To move through the Dardenelles the tariff is a flat rate of 100 gold.

EDIT: Russian ships are allowed out of the Black Sea but other ships ARE NOT allowed in without paying the tariff. Jugoslavijia will do everything it can to help our Slavic brothers in Russia.

              • What's this about Jugoslavia dictating to Spain and other countries about access to the Black Sea? While Russia appreciates that Jugoslavia is just trying to help us out some, we encourage them to withdraw their statement for several reasons.
                1. Turkey controls the Dardanelles, not Jugoslavia, therefore Jugoslavia cannot make such a claim.
                2. Jugoslavia doesn't have a navy that can back up such a claim.
                3. Russia can take care of itself in the Black Sea, thankyou very much.

However, while Russia recognizes that both Jugoslavia and Turkey both have perfectly acceptable reasons for operating in the Black Sea, questions will be asked if Spanish, English, Italian, or German ships were to enter into the Black Sea, and said entrance will be seen as provacative.

Russia would like to share with Jugoslavia a bit of history as it sees it, even if Russian history is not an exact and may be in error concerning some details. The "war" between Spain and Jugoslavia is a clerical error, something that should be cleared up by minor ministers in the Foriegn Affairs Departments of each nation. As far as Russia knows, not a single shot has been fired between the two countries, and hopes that that will continue.

                • Turkey is keeping the Dardenelles Strait closed to military traffic, and u must advise me before u move trade goods through the strait so i can move my battleship.
The Turkish defenses along the Egyptian border has always been there and they will continue to be there.
Turkey wishes to keep Tarriffs for trade goods entering the Med. League, Turkey will close its ports to trade goods until the European powers take a chill pill, YO!

                  • Russia-England treaty fullfilled

Stockholm was handed over to England today, completing all treaty agreements between the former warring nations. In other news, Russia's economy has gone to crap and is looking for some kind hearted nation to issue her a loan.

                    • How big a loan are you after? Spain can probably be persuaded to lend you 100-200 units of gold

                      • London-The new prime minister released several statements today.
-1.The straits of Gibralter are closed to all Yugoslavian and Turkish shipping until the Dardenelles is given free traffic to all nations merchant shipping.
-2.The Ionian Sea is closed to all Yugoslavian and Turkish shipping until the Dardenelles is given free traffic to all nations merchant shipping.
-3.We believe the intent of these two governments is to increase the volume of tension. We urge these two nations to show restraint and good faith to all nations of Europe.
-4.Since the FULL MOBILIZATION of the Turkish army on the Egyptian border is as claimed to be defensive. The Turkish government will see the same reasoning for our patroling the areas w/ the Royal Navy.
-5.The United Kingdom is prepared to loan the Russian nation as much as can be afforded. Please contact us concerning the amount and terms.
P.S.-the previous Sea listed was edited-Adriatic to Ionian

                        • Italy is prepared to give the russians a loan of 600-700 gold.
We also don't see the reasoning behind closing straights to merchant shiping when turkish and jugoslavian waters where only closed to warships?
As per the turkish statement merchant shiping can pass if it declares it's comming trough a turn in advance.

                          • Here's some corrections for you. Since you got everything wrong
                            1. Turkey is in full mobilization? Could u not read that i have had troops there since the beginning of the game?
And you have no right to patrol turkish waters, because i have my army in defensive positions WITHIN Turkish borders.
                            2. If you read carefully, you will see that ALL MERCHANT SHIPS are permitted to go through the Dardanelles, NO MILITARY SHIPS!
                            3. My ports are closed to foreign ships until the powers in europe put away the measuring twig.

Jugoslavia and Turkey are trying to create tension? Hah!
