But I must admit that Apolyton's speed has been, mildly put, disastrous this last month. Although I am in 8 PBEMs here, I played less than 2 or so turns this week. It's rather frustratingly slow, especially compared to the German forums, which I will concentrate on from now on. Quite frankly, if this game is going to be as painfully slow, I see no point in playing.
Anyway, one question about the scenario: Are rifle companies supposed to have the "ignore city walls" flag?

Just a bit frustrated atm with the lack of activity.

Btw about the Haitians. They've now got similar stats to the other infantry units.

I can understand if someone takes a while in a 2194 turn or a 1v1 PBEM.. but this PBEM has been made so playing the turn would be a breeze. Even playing the British Empire (especially at this stage) is quick and painless. I know Rebel is away, but in the future I think there is no good excuse for not playing this turn if you are supposed to be active. Some may forget, but not even I can say "I was too tired" or "I'm just too busy". Sorry, I'm also a bit frustrated"[A thoughtful Quote]" -Oscar Wilde

The furstration is understandable, but even more so if you take a look at the German forums, where they play as many as 3 turns of LBE (and I mean 3 full turns, as in you play 3 times), which is a 7-player scenario, per day.
Compared to that, Apolyton's speed is, at best, atrocious.

United States of America, December 1802:
Our young nation cares little for all the European infighting that so many of our citizens sought to escape when they came to our lands.
Nor do we have any grudge against the British, or any European power, for that matter. We just want to develop in peace, without getting dragged into wars not of our making.
However, to develop in peace, there must be peace in the Americas to begin with. Therefore we ask foreign powers to stop all expansion in the Americas.
That is all.Attached Files

IC: His Britannic Majesty’s Government wish to make it known that we fully support the Kingdom of Prussia’s protests regarding the French siege of Hamburg since it threatens the security of His Majesty’s German domains.
Furthermore we ask that France honour the Treaty of Amiens and withdraw from the Batavian Republic and Switzerland. Britain will then withdraw from Malta and Cape Colony and restore them to the Knights of St John and the Batavian Republic respectively.
OOC: I haven’t gone nuts, but I’m going to mirror the thoughts of Henry Addington’s government for a little while and then slowly start pushing in my own direction. Hopefully I can add a couple of character point of view like I have done in previous PBEMs to spice things up and add some colour to the game (need to give some thought to this. Although the names ‘Nelson’ and ‘Wellesley’ spring to mind temptingly, I think I’ll be a bit different in character selection where possible).Attached FilesLast edited by Saladin23; March 14, 2007, 13:24.

Removed the ignore city rules flag from the Rifle Battalion.
@Patine: The Haitians incidently only have a slightly higher defence then regular infantry (same as German Infantry). The French also had a tough time in real life when they tried to retake the colony so its good to hear that they are living up to their historical counterpart's reputation).Attached Files

Friedrich Wilhelm has decided to move Prussian troops to the outskirts of Dresden as a counter to French expansionism in the area. We still oppose the capture of Hamburg and are glad that Britain has joined us in this view.
Prussia wishes good relations with our Austrian friends in the south. To stop this French menace, we must work together if the need arises!
Goods from Rostock arrive at London. Cotton from Königsberg will leave soon for the United States of America! This new trade route will grow ever stronger by the years.Attached Files"[A thoughtful Quote]" -Oscar Wilde

The First Consul of France does not quake at the threats of the Prussian Kingdom nor the British Empire. We instead shall take a leadership position in Europe and will tolerate no challenge to our rightful and reasonable claims of expansion over minor states. The new nations annexed into France will not be mistreated or cut-off from trade and commerce, but we expect their new rulership to be acknowledged. Prussia had best beware how bold they get.
Conquered Hamburg and Frankfurt. 4 European Infantry killed. 1 French Cavalry lost. Bombarded Hyderabad. 1 Artillery lost.
