I have an aesthetic question. Though the Sea Peoples rarely build cities (preferring instead to sack them), I'm trying to decide whether to make the unbuilt city names from the city.txt a mix of Philistine/Lycian names such as:
Ekron
Gath
Aphek
Araththi
Telebehi
Khadawati
Pttara
generic names from Mycenaean linear-b i.e.:
Da-pu-ri-to-jo
Da-ja-ko-ro
Me-ta-pa
etc...
or lastly Sea People tribal names for instance
Peleset
Tjekker
Shekelesh
Ekwesh
Any opinions?Sea Kings TOT

Still working on that one? An ambitious project, I've been reading it for a year. Well, not true, just seen it for the first time and glanced through it, nice screenies
Having a playlist of all 24 Civ2 tracks playing in the background. Sad? Absolutely

Either Peleset or tribal. The linear-B names are a little too abstract and unrecognisable.

I've noticed that all players seem to get a free tech on their first turn. This happens even though all of the plays start with a number of techs already researched, no beakers towards their next advance, and a pretty high tech paradigm IMO. Even the fundamentalist civ /w 2 size 1 cities. What gives? Is there anyway to prevent this??Last edited by EZRhino; April 4, 2008, 20:36.Sea Kings TOT
