I definitely want leather armour. My best tech though was writing which i gifted to you last turn.

what other techs did you get? so i know what to research and give later as an exchange.

I wouldn't mind sharing techs-at this junction of the game at least.

K, let's see how we like that. If it doesn't work out mutually beneficially we can do differently when/if we start a "real" game.

I think with barbie hordes working, the competition focus might change a bit and encourage cooperation, especially as huts gets scarce. From a Hittite perspective, for example, I'd prefer Assyrian cities on my borders so barbies won't spawn there. As long as those borders are mutually agreeable and relatively stable.

I think I got Domestication and Copper Age, as the other two, unless Domestication is my research target right now. Try contacting the Hittites and see if I'm willing to trade or be intimidated this turn (no money, though). They probably won't accept, but I'm curious. If I declare war, set your attitude to the best and I'll see if I can stop it and gift techs my next turn.

        • Ass:-i somehow discovered pictographs. Plat? Any trades?Oh, and some slaves.

Egypt: slaves and a hut(barb) destroyed.

No sign of barbs at the assyrian heartland yet. Thank god.

Actually the AI does yield and suprisingly leather armour is what it gives if i demand tribute. But i reloaded and didn't ask for anything so no worries.

BTW there is a "contested" hut at 92,42. I suggest we share the spoils. I do admit though that your chariot has the advantage unless my ZOC does something about it.

Sure sharing can work, with techs at least, which seem to predominate suddenly for some reason. Was able to sneak by and steal the hut. I'll just be greedy with the mercs and cash, but share all Hittite techs; but I'll expect Assyrians to do the same. It occured to me that you discovering Pictographs when I already had it wasted a tech goody hut that we both could've benefitted from, if you're willing to operate the same way, at least for the time being. I suppose cash could also be shared, but I've been disappointed in the amount of cash I've been finding, so I'm feeling a bit miserly there. Since you've contacted Babylon, if Plat is willing to operate the same way, we could all benefit tech-wise, too, even if some benefit more than others...something to think about.

Assyrians should be pleased when they hit F6, but maybe less so when you realize that new discoveries now take forever. Funny, I think all that tech was this turn and last turn.

                  Minoans - New slaves

Hittites - another hut fest: lotsa techs, 1 merc, 1 barb (no cash last two turns, and no cities yet this game).

Oh, and I think the "AI is moving" message was a hair longer this turn, again....be afraid...be very afraid

You're up Plat. What was that bonehead comment referring to? Was that something related to finding the Assyrians that Palailogos will understand? Cause I don't. Or are you having some kind of problem?

                    • pressed F6-crist! Rob can you tell me exactly how many and which techs have you given me? Leather armour for sure, but what about the rest? So that i know what i owe you.

BTW i think that although Peaster is gone for some time now, he would agree to the exchanging techs thing. So if i make contact with him(in game) i will gift him your techs. Provided you agree of course.

Sure, if Assyrians find Egypt first. Babs or even Hittites or Minoans might find them first, depending on which way they're exploring. Babs indicated an interest if I interpreted Plat's message correctly. I think it's a win/win to share as long as the recipients agree to give back newly discovered techs to the participating network. People may start to think differently once goodie huts become rare, but maybe not, we'll see.

I popped a huge number of huts last two turns, 10 or 11, I think. Most of those were techs - two barbs, and two mercs, nothing else, so 6-7 techs, including Domestication, Copper Age, Leather Armor, Star Observations, The Plow, Horse Training, and Food Surplus (I won't swear about Food Surplus, maybe it's my current target?). If we're sharing techs, at least, hopefully people won't be too resentful about my (or other units) sweeping across lands and popping huts that might otherwise be perceived as "theirs".

I think Peaster might be back, or be back soon. So next turn you might want to wait on Egypt.

                        ST, you're up, I think.

                          • Platypus, did you open the Demo window? Greeks lost one skirmisher because workers were replaced in your save.
In normal game we would have to replay.

Greeks lost one skirmisher against a barb Infantry on Plains but the 2nd one won and turned veteran.

                              • RED ALERT
Another Barbie Horde sighted at 87,19. Maybe we can call this one Scythians, while ST's horde are the Dorians?

Meanwhile the Pirates on Crete either vanished or died without inflicting any damage on the Minoans.

Whatever happened to the Storm, btw, did it hit anyone? or vanish? or is it hiding somewhere?

Minoans popped two huts (merc, cash) and found Egyptians.

Minoans didn't do any tech sharing, Peaster, since I wasn't sure whether an independent Crete would want to participate in a tech co-op if it meant giving up Sailing and the possibility that they might not be able to get their most appropriate wonder. Anyone have any thoughts on the appropriateness of that?

Hittites popped a hut for a merc and cringed at the ugly red horde. Some skirmishers heading back home, but we're putting our faith in the famous Palace Guards.
