Mythological Age Scenario

    Okay, I think I know why I'm being ignored. All talk and no progress, right

    Well, here's something I've been working on these past few days. A half-completed units graphic file.

    The first unit is a generic settler. Simple.

    The next seven are the base defense units for each of the seven civilizations (the Atlantean slot is blank because I currently have no good graphics for it?).

    I then left the Fanatic and Guerilla slots blank because units put there have special properties - haven't decided what to do with those yet.

    Then, there's unique human units for each civilization, with five empty slots for Atlanteans, two for Norse cavalry, and three - maybe upped to four - for Celts, pending graphics.

    After that is a trireme - used by Greeks, Romans, and Atlanteans - and two blanks slots needing graphics for a dragon ship - used by Norse and Celts - and a kebenit - used by Egyptians and Babylonians.

    Right in the freight slot is the generic caravan.

    Then, an empty chunk for mythological units (I plan to use Varnwos' units, and hopefully more, once I get a scheme for them).

    At the end are barbarian units - Hittites, Assyrians, Canaanites, and Scythians. Once I get graphics, I'd like to add Amazons and Ethiopians and maybe - I'm worried of cutting too much into myth units - Iberians.

    So here it is. If ayone has suggestions, criticisms, or - greatly appreciated - graphics, please drop a post.

        you should check the link given in the "best terrain" thread. The guy who made that link is imo the best unit creator for tot units.

          Sorry about the delay.

          I've commissioned some new graphcs on another thread. Hope that comes through.

          What do I have to watch about the Knight and Musketeer slots, N35tOr?

          And, yes vawrnos, that terrain is amazing! I may well use it. But, in the meantime, do you have any more monsters you could spare?

              I dont have anything else; there are some monsters in that site with the terrain. If you have anything specific in mind though i may try to make it

                Well, since you're offering, varwnos, I do need a few more.

                I'll present you with the Greek ones I need; if you're up to it, let me know if you can tackle my Egyptian, Babylonian, Celtic, and/or Norse monsters.

                Greek ones are a gorgon (e.g., Medusa), a harpie, and a centaur archer. And, if you have time (though this one's optional, I should think), maybe a chimera and/or manticore.

                These are the ones. I'd be thankful for any of them.

                    I found the centaur archer, varwnos. And any other monsters would be wonderful!

                    Now I've got some Atlanteans and siege engines, courtesy of Sarsstock.

                    I'll update my units graphics file and most the results in a bit.

                        • The cyclops unit above just gave me an idea for a giant unit. It would have to be a move 0 unit, perhaps hidden somewhere on the map, guarding a treasure or something. Unused mountain terrain (?) could be used together to make the top half of a giant unit, and the unit graphic could be the bottom half. Of course you could only attack the bottom half. Anyway, if this is possible, it would look great in this kind of scenario...

                            • my main employment is my writing. I am 26 years old and have been writing literature since i was at least 17,5.
                              This is something i tried to draw out of a story i am currently working on, titled "the strange night".
                              I had a serious feeling of deja-vu while turning the thing into a civ2 tot unit

                              • Here's the updated units graphics file.

                                Added:
                                -Atlantean human units (by Sarsstock)
                                -Priest (diplomatic unit)
                                -Siege weapons (also by Sarsstock, but made generic instead of strictly Atlantean)
                                -Heroes (except Norse and Celtic, still looking for graphics for those)
                                -Some myth units by varwnos (looking for more, notably other mythology's worth)
                                -Amazon (varwnos' Zena) added to barbarian units
