    • Again, sorry for the delay. Real life, you know.

      @Tanelorn: I love your units! Unfortunately, I'm running out of designated myth unit slots, so I fear they won't all be able to appear.. But please, keep making them, I'd like some good choice to select from.

      @Alex Woehr: I plan a more free-form system with the myths as inspiration, but not to be shackled to them. I plan a "generic" hero unit for each civilization who could represent a number actual characters. They would be good against myth units, and reasonable against human units.

      In other words, I'm not planning to script this scenario, but to have divine intervention triggered by techs and in-game actions. I just need some ideas on that. Thanks.

      I also need a way for the base Roman infantry to be able to build roads while not taking population or food and having an attack value, and having the AI use them as both a road builder and military unit, to represent the Roman legions who built the Roman roads. Is this possible.

      Any help would be well received.

      • Ok, I'll just stick to:

        goblins, dwarves, trolls, and giants (for Norse),

        boggarts, redcaps, thalen-sidhe (elves?), fomorians, and cluricain (leprachauns) for Celts

        I am done with the Babylonians and the Egyptians.

        Here go some simple mods for leprachauns, dwarves and sidhe (elves, right?)

            • Thanks, Tanelorn. I think I have enough now. I couldn't even fit them all.

              Below is my unit graphics file as it currently stands.

              Only a few units are now needed. They are:
              -Kebenit (Egyptian warship)
              -Norse cavalry
              -At least three Celtic warriors
              -A Norse and Celtic hero (one each)

              With these, I should be able to complete my collection of unit graphics for this scenario.

              Also, I'll try your advice for Roman roadbuilding infantry, Boco, but I just hope an AI player uses the unit as a military unit as well if I give it an attack value.

                    • Sorry I took so long; I've been out of town.

                      Anyways, I've almost got the map down pat, just fine tuning the terrain and shape of Atlantis.

                      I'm also very thankful to Curtsibling, both for that news update, and for that city graphics-set on the "Non-Units Graphics Showcase," both should prove to be very helpful.

                      As for the other human and heroic units I need, I'm just hoping they'll eventually show up.

                      I'm also considering the tech tree - here I could use some suggestions, both for ancient and mythological advances. Any advice?

                            • Sorry I haven't been keeping up regularly. This time, I exceeded my Internet traffic bandwidth and was cut off of the Net for a month - that's how our service provider here in British Columbia, Telus, works.

                              Anyways, I've been working furiously on just what the various units will have with regards to statistics on my rules file, as well as considering other maps. The idea of adding a Heavens map, as well as Terrestrial and Underworld ones may be worth considering.

                              I'm looking for a pillared temple graphic resembling Greek, Roman, and Egyptian styles in a similar way for a Rural Temple. This will replace the Airbase Land Improvement, not only allowing stacks to be destroyed unit by unit, instead of as a stack, but allowing myth units (with helicopter ability) to rest and heal. Urban temples, btw, will come in several varieties, each a City Improvement type, with a few being Wonders.

                              I also do still need Norse cavalry - two of them, with one being a Jarl - and a Norse hero, as well as three Celtic units, plus a Celtic hero.

                              I'm looking at the Underground terrain from the Midgard scenario for the Underworld, but I would kind of like to get better, if anyone knows where.

                              • Sorry about the wait. I've been very busy.

                                I am actually working on this scenario when I get time - currently I've decided definitively what units will appear and for many what statistics they'll get. Also, my unit graphics file is almost complete.

                                I've finished a makeshift Atlantis on the Ancient World map Jim Panse (I think?) gave me, but I wish I could make it bigger, as the continent's quite cramped.

                                I plan to just generate an underworld and heavens map by playing the Fantasy Game with the Ancient World map's I've got and exporting the Underworld and Sky map from it, as I think I could use the same terrain - I see no need, though, for an undersea map.

                                More to come.
