    • How do you open a rar file without paying for online software (one site even insisted I pay for some sort of membership, too).

I don't shop online and don't give my credit card number or e-mail address to such sites.

Gaugliado, could you either direct me to a free rar extractor, or repost that file as a zip file?

          • Winace did indeed do the trick! Thanks, jim panse!

Here's a potential map I drew up for this scenario based on the Greteurope map, with an Atlantis added.

            • My pleasure, UDB

Btw, wouldn't it be really kewl to have a map Ptolemey drew used in this scen?

Or some other ancient world map?

              • That'd be cool. Like the fantasy-like map Morten (Hardjoy) uses in his Hammer of the North.
"Peace cannot be kept by force.
It can only be achieved by understanding"

Does Ptolemy depict the Niger or are those dry river beds?

                  • That would be cool, indeed, jim panse.

Problem is, I'm not sure I could make such a map from scratch myself.

                    Any takers to help me?

                      • Oh, most evil moderator, why do some of the towers look suspiciously like church spires? The freewheeling, happy pantheic societies of the mythical ages had yet to encounter the straightlaced, *nally retentive religions of the post-mythical ages.
Excerpts from the Manual of the Civilization Fanatic :

Money can buy happiness, just raise the luxury rate to 50%.
Money is not the root of all evil, it is the root of great empires.

This is why I made an alternate set!

                              • Indeed. Can't you hear the din in Valhalla as Thor, Odin and their bloody, battle-crazed band of berserkers bang their shields with their swords.
