Does that mean the map and everything is done already? If not, I have a rather special (yet unfinished) map which you may or may not be interested in. Judging from the "splash panel" you posted, it might just fit right in.

Merc, the map and just about everything else is already done. What I am doing now is minute tweaking. Adjusting a hit point here, a defense point there, adding another event to deal with the difficulties of the AI's stupidities, etc.

Actually, the only thing I'm waiting on is fairline and some new unit graphics, although most of the graphics are very nice--Bernd Brosing's unit graphics for the medieval period are extremely good. But I really want NEW graphics before I put the thing out there.

Gareth, I need a graphic for "The Golden Horn" as a unit.

I'm also thinking about placing another unit, although there will be two of them, called "Landwall" of Constantinople. Still considering that though.

Still, I enjoy perusing maps, so tell me where to find the map you're referring to, Merc.

Phenix: I haven't managed to finish what I was working on by this weekend I'm afraid. I will definitely post something next weekend.

          Sorry about the wait

Is the 'Golden Horn' the Golden Horde?

No, Gareth, the Golden Horn unit will be positioned on the east side of Constantinople, and will represent the inability of invaders to cross the water. As the map is, a land unit can attack the city from the eastern side, which is inaccurate. So, I want a very powerful defensive unit, owned by Byzantium and homed on Constantinople, that will effectively prevent any hostile force from moving through that square.

Maybe a big chain or something.

Sorry to hear you're not ready with new units. It's ok though--it'll give me another week to ferret out the little bugs prior to release.

                  Normal service is resumed...

Right, sorry about the delay; the other project is mostly complete now and I've started the Crusader units. I reckon I can get a good number done by next weekend Honest I can.......

Phenix: here's a taster so you can approve the style. I am trying to make them compatible with BeBro's wonderful Richard the Lionheart graphic. I'm using late 12th / early 13th century costume - would you prefer earlier dress?

Anyway, the first 2: the German host and a Hospitaler/Knight of St John.

Thanks Gagliaudo. You knights are next on the list when I've finished Exile's

Another taster: I've finished the European knights and I'm nearly done with the Byzantines. Foot to follow.

I've kept BeBro's Richard I and Templar, which are the last 2 here. Mine are the Hospitaler, German host, Italian host, Spanish host and French host:
