The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

I'm still testing it everyday and I'm still making minute tweaks here and there. Delay is no problem because it allows me to fine-tune it a little more.
Heresson, what resources?

I love Imperialism, and this age is one of my favorites.
The last good one I saw out of this age was Henrik's Historibus Europa.
Looking forward to it Exile

Sultan, Byzantine emissary and mobile Byzantine infantry. The Sultan is actually Ottoman so he's 100 years later than this scenario but the emissary is in 12th-13th Century Byxantine costume..
BTW Phenix, do the middle eastern civ(s) need flags?
I'm just not a batch file guy yet. That might change in the future. Might not. Who knows?
Thanks again for the excellent graphics, Gareth. Nice touch making the mobile infantry variant more action-ish. Now can you do that with the normal Heavy Foot graphic too? The Emissary is great too, much better than what I was using. The Sultan will work well. As for his period, don't concern yourself overmuch about period detail in a figure like this. In some things, all we can do is create the mood, not exacting detail.

...however, they're all rather 'clean'. These guys were living in a world where monthly baths were the norm, and detergent was yet to be invented.
As such, perhaps you could try experimenting with more 'dirty' units? This would help capture the theme of decay and misery which was what the Dark Ages were all about (unless you favour the view of the increasingly popular(?) school of thought which argues that the Dark Ages weren't actually so bad)

I've read that the Byzantines will have a "communist" government- and I don't agree[if that counts at all], since the Empire was pestered by rebellion & corruption throughout it's existence, especially in the age portrayed here.
